First, congratulations is in order here. You deserve it. Writing is not easy. It takes a lot of heart to come up with truly good lines. And next, I was totally surprised when I saw my poem published in our school paper back in high school. I was overjoyed the next few moments because I couldn't believe it was my work that was chosen from so many entries. I received a few Wows! but I suppose I am not really cut out to be a poet. Albeit writing had been my pastime since...

You have captured my sentiments exactly. Poetry is not really my thing, but creative prose is something I really enjoy--and sharing it is even better.

Congratulations on your new achievement. I love to write but not really professionally, i do hope i get the chance to really write something that is worth the time and interest of many. It must be a very nice feeling for you from all those hardship and sleepless nights to be able to produce a very nice article. Keep it up..

Maybe you can get back to it--high school and creative writing was a LONG time ago for me, but it's like riding a bike--you never really forget how to do it.

Suzie-
My first professional article was published in the Eye of Horus ezine. It is a local shop here in Minnesota and I was so happy to be able to share my work. Congratulations on your first work. May there be many more to come.

Thank you so much for the support--it has been very helpful. BTW, I just finished reading Rick Riordan's Red Pyramid (youth fiction), all about the Eye Of Horus. Have you read it?

I am--it is so much easier to keep writing once the first one gets accepted--builds confidence like nothing else!

Agreed--I write some things, then always need to take a break--the other day, after writing a true story about my father who passed away this year, I had to take a nap! But when I saw that it got published (very quickly) it actually inspired me to do more writing.

Thank you for the support! My first three articles have been published on Triond. I am hoping to keep up this pace for a week or so, because all of a sudden writing has become easier once my first one was accepted. Have a great Christmas and happy new year!
