In the Bible, the Lord never mention that we would remember or celebrate His day of birth. What He told us is to remember His death and resurrection by bread-breaking of the bread and drinking of the wine until He comes back.
People in the world celebrate their birthday. So they also celebrate Christmas believing that it was the birthday of Jesus. Do you know the real history of Christmas?

Well, I do know that the celebration of Santa Claus began with St. Nicholas who was born in 270 a.d. He was a wealthy priest who gave monies/gifts to the poor, and would leave gifts in the children's wooden shoes. Jesus was actually born in September and not December. I do believe that the reason for celebrating Christmas is to "show" the people we care about how much we love them and want to share our lives with them.

All I know is Christmas is the day when Jesus Christ was born. Now, I feel ashamed, I'm a Catholic but I don't even know what's the story of that day all about. Maybe I should start reading bible. :)
