Yes, many are changing their profile pics to a cartoon pic and I admit that I too changed my pic. If it brings about the awareness that children are still being abused in our day and age, then I am all for it. I also admit, that yes it is even a little funto change the profile pic to my favorite cartoon character.

My profile picture has always been a comic book character. I don't want to post my pic. If you know me, you know what I look like. When I get tired of looking at that picture, I'll use another comic book or cartoon character. Has nothing to do with the abused child movement.

I saw this request from some FB friends, but I never changed mine. I was thinking, how could a change like this help a movement. A few days later I got my answer. I read that it was a hoax. And the people behind this change are really the pedophiles and weirdos. And that the reason they ask for this change so they could send out friend requests to young people.

I also changed my profile picture. If indeed it serves it cause or not, it doesn't matter. Nothing will cost you just by changing your profile picture into a cartoon character and stay that way for a few days. Besides, it can boost your reputation with your friends. When they see you change your profile picture, they would think you're a nice guy since you care too much for the abused.
