My New year resolution is to reduce weight and make myself pain free and healthy. But I am not going to wait until new year to begin with my plans. So have been dieting and excercising for the past two days. And will continue to do so till I achieve my desired weight. By dieting I mean not crash diets but a sensible one in which there are not much fat piling substances but a lot of fruits and lentils and half boiled vegetables and less of chocolates and weight gaining stuff. What about your new year resolutions?

My main resolution is to be healthier and happier next year. I'm going to quit smoking, reduce drinking and start exercising heavily. Another resolution is to be more aware spiritually and to be closer to God. I'm going to take Bible seminars and try to pray as much as I can. But as my Priest says Men make resolutions and God takes decisions so we'll see!

Trying to become more healthy is a good resolution tck_01. That is mine too this year. And God does help people who help themselves. So do your duty and you will definitely get help from God. Wish you all the very best.
And ricextreme, I did understand that it was 'everyday'. Hope you do get your resolutions fulfilled.

I hope to make many friends this new year. I used to be a cold person, but i'm trying to change. Now i am making some friends, and i hope that i can keep this friendship with all of them trough this, and the future years.
My other resolution is to help the environment and i hope to make my own recycled paper, and to use some other recycled products, and obviously... try to consume less.

Hope you do change for the better, ricextreme. And good luck in your efforts to make new and good friends.
I like the other one more. Save the trees. Isn't that what you are trying to do? How do you make your own recycled paper? Wow, you sure do know something which might actually be of some use to help the environment. And good wishes.

Your resolve is mine all the time. It's not working.
I'm going to get s I don't need or cannot use, sell things I have no use for but cannot just toss out. Then I plan to set a routine for my household chores and stick to it. Previously, all attempts to do so have been thwarted by constant, unnecessary interruptions. This time I will draw up a chart to allow for any contingency. I spend too much time sitting in front of my laptop. I need to stay on top of house work, by doing so, I will exercise or simply move around more. Then my brain will be guilt free and more serene because I will be in control of my life.

Hi Ms Tickle. Making time for housework is something which has to be done otherwise the house will be a tolal mess and things will pile up. Do small amount of cleaning everyday and before you know it, the house would be clean. But I have to admit, getting addicted to the net and laptop will spoil all the other work which you have to be finished. So fix yourself time to do the other work and stick to it. After a few days, you will get used to the routine. Hope you are able to keep your new year resolution. All the best.

I want to get to know Mother Nature more, learn how to live frugally and be happy at the same time. It's a challenge, I know, as it goes against my materialistic upbringing, but my recent "affair" with a pyramid scheme just shook me up big time. I hope to become more healthier and spiritual as well. Oh....and the age-old "I hope to lose weight!" resolution, too! hehe
Happy Mylotting!

Hope you came out of the problem with the pyramid scheme without any serious problems. We are all trying to loose weight at some point or the other, don't we? Wishing you all the very best with the weight loss.

Haha, although 2011 is arriving in approximately 23 days, I think it's good to have some of the resolutions in mind. First of all, I would like to kick off all my bad habits come 2011, all of them and I'll have to try very hard. Another thing is to buff up a little bit more, yea, just a little bit more. There are still a lot of them coming up but this two are the ones that I have in mind now, especially the first one, which I have yet to fulfill in the past. Let's look forward to 2011!!!

Kicking bad habits will be a little difficult than your other resolution. But, if you are very determined, you can do it. Wishing you the very best and hope you have the strenght to say no to your undesireable habits.

Hi,
Yes..new year is approaching and
everyone is going to celebrate Christmas in another two weeks
time. For me this year Christmas is like normal
day to go.No holiday trip and we would
probably just rest at home.
As for my new year resolution, it will be :
1. Wishing my family stay healthy always.
2. Hope more good luck comes into my life.
3. Wish my husband's business will pick up in next year onwards.
4. Hope my son will do well in school.
5. Hope to see my family members more often.
I really wish all these will come true.

For my New Years resolution I think that I am going to cut back my spending habits so I can save money to pay down debt.I have a student loan and some credit card debt so I feel that I will try as hard as I can so save every penny and stop buying things that are not essential in order to get some income rolling in.I went a little spending crazy in the last month or so buying gifts for my family and friends and I think I will stop there and save my money and be money money wise from now on as I do not want to sink further into debt.

That is a wise decision you made. I do agree with you that you should stop buying non essential things. But you can spend some small amount of money on your gifts. Something which does not cost much but shows them that you care.

most of the people have their new year's resolution, but sad to say that only few can do their new year's resolution for what certainly it is.
coz even me, there are resolutions that even now i haven't done and i can't do it for some reasons. so, for me, it's not necessary to make a new year's resolution but a list of plans i want to do for the next year and if i can't do it then i will do that plan in the following year.

Hi jornz87. I know that most of us/ almost all of us would not complete our new year resolutions. But the birth of a new year reminds us of things which we were supposed to do this year which we have not done and prompts us to at least try them this coming year. I have reduced 2 kilos. Have been keeping a strict watch on what I ate and have been excercising mildly so as to not hurt myself but just keep myself healthy. I think I would come down another 6 kilos in about two months time. And am happy that it is working. Do keep trying and wish you all the very best.

i have a plan to create a better atmosphere on my working place. right now, i feel there's something wrong on my working place. we're rarely talk each other so when it comes to a team project we have a bad teamwork.
well, i could begin with having fun together on weekends or playing sports so that we'll know each other better and hope that will have positive effect once we're in office. (=

Workplace is where we spend most of our lives. And striving to make it comfortable and better for yourself is a good resolution. A happy workplace will give more results. Hope you succeed in making it the way you want it to be.

I always try to save money, whatever I do. So that is something which I do on a daily basis. The only others which I find it hard to do is the exercise part. I am tired all the time and find it difficult to find the strength to exercise. I do diet and sometimes find it very very difficult to resist chocolates and sweets. But I have been successfully resisting them for the past three days. And slowly getting the hang of it. So, I would say, keep it up buddy. You will and can loose weight if you try a little at a time.

That is an excellent goal, and congratulations for starting on your resolution so early. It is wise, to take your weight loss goals slowly. My goal for the following year is to reduce my debt as well as get a little saved up for the future.
