Mylot ("might") Tops Facebook and Friendster in Philippines.....

Pinoy needs money most of the guys joined myLot because they are thinking that they can earn here easily. The mentality most of them are greedy, after they found out that their thinking is opposite they suddenly stop. I knew lots of Kababayans joined myLot and after a coupple of months they are all gone. The reason why there are some Pinoys still here because we enjoy the features and the bonus we get every post unlike being addicted to different social sites that never shared their revenue to their members like friendster and facebook. Although I still enjoy facebook but if I compare the time I spent between myLot and facebook, I spent more time here than facebook because I know that I waste most of my time if I stay there.

I really don't know anyone else using Mylot in my circle of friends. But then again I'm the only one unemployed. I have another account at Gather.com. Mylot is big in posting comments while Gather, as I've noticed, is more on the posting content. Earning can be transferable to Paypal payouts or coupons from Amazon among other things.

Hi Letran I think because some People who used to be here gave mylot a bad reputation after they left here And not everyone checks the Sites out so sadly stay away from here I have been here from the start and no one knew if mylot would stay but it did and still is I love this Site, it has had its ups and downs but always came through and I think always will It is everyones own choice to join here and I will never judge anyone for not joining Letran, as it is everyone to their own, there are many countries where not many People join here but that is their choice

facebook remains an absolute waste of time.....simple

I believe people would choose Facebook and even Friendster over myLot when they are thinking about connections. Though we have connections and friends in myLot, this site is really about participation not networking. People enjoy myLot because they can discuss topics without fear of being judged by others (deleted discussions for violation of guidelines notwithstanding) and the possibility of remaining anonymous. Most people are not active but maintain account just to connect with family and friends. Its not about activity and being in constant contact with each other. It is a plus that myLot is not prohibited in most offices as it is not considered a networking site but since most of the people are already in Facebook it would be very difficult to make them change systems.

May be in the beginning would not be attractive like facebook before, people in the philippines are all mouth whispering about friendster and myspace, then when facebook unvailed their new features gradually step up, then now there is one promising place the "tumblr". So I think mylot can be penetrate also in our country later on when they realize the benefits being here, and we I think is a big factor for them to bring here.. see you around

Hi again Letran! I am actually spending much of my time here than at Facebook or Friendster. Just a few minutes browsing on those sites then I log out. I really do not know also why they love spending much time on those sites. It would really be nice when mylot is introduced. By then and maybe, here in mylot, Filipinos will take the highest number of membership.

That is what I think too but people are not really concern about discussing things over and earn. I have tried all my friends about earning opportunity but they still shrug off the idea and just waste their time playing and socializing with friends on other social sites. As if when you tell them something good to earn about, its like you are scamming them or something. I just believe that there are people who have crab mentality and that I won't force myself anymore if they wanted to join or not.

Honestly, I don't get what the hype is all about with facebook and friendster. It's just another one of those things that we copy from Americans. Facebook, myspace, friendster and other similar networking sites are big in the US because theirs is a society which encourages going solo (in the name of independence). On the other hand, Filipinos are a social group. We may not like building Chinatowns all over the world, but Filipinos always have a strong community everywhere. This is not true for Caucasians and that is why they have this need to shoutout to the world their status. We don't, because we usually have gossiped about it offline. I do agree that mylot suits our culture better. We are a hospitable race and we tend not to voice our individual opinions in front of others lest we offend them. The anonymity in mylot allows us to get past that barrier. Here we can be as opinionated as we can be without being made to feel like an outcast - well, at least we wouldn't know even if we met each other outside of this site. Here in mylot, you can tell people about your problems without them getting back to you later to say I-told-you-so. The best thing is that you get paid for it, no matter how paltry the amount.

Maybe some of Pinoys do not trust the fact that this site is being paid when they are going to post something. At the same time others might say that they don't have time for other things.

I never liked friendster. I just made my facebook account because of my cousins who are abroad. I have liked facebook as I use it but I like mylot more. Mylot has given me many things. I have learned a lot through this site. I even got addicted to this site when I used to be a full time online earner.

This is not only in Philippines my friend, many for some odd reason get really hooked with facebook and or other online social sites as they are not simply aware that they can do a great many similar things right here on myLot. Those you mentioned and or others that come to mind simply do not really understand the site. See someone told them they can actually earn big money on here and gave them all misconceptions about making that big money. They spew out a great many silly posts and find the next day that the majority are deleted and or they do not earn that big money so they never really give the site a full try and or utilize it to it's full potential. I would encourage anyone to join but I would guide them each and every step of the way, oh which by the way I was able to in October gain 13 referrals in one week. I guided and held their hands daily and well they did not last a full five days. I never told them they could earn big bucks, in fact I even showed them my monthly earnings on here also. But they did not stick around. Unfortunate as I suppose they themselves drew up the idea that they would earn big time. LOL

Actually, at first I was really hooked in my lot. But, as time goes by it has become a little boring. My lot is not innovating in to something new that would make us want to stay more in site. Unlike facebook and friendster that is highly interactive and somethings always new appears. I hope My lot admins make my lot a better place for discussions.

Pinoys can be lured easily by money.When they saw mylot is an earning site they registered here but when they know that they cant earn big money, all of them leave mylot which is partly true!! Me, i considered mylot as the best social networking site that is fair to all memebers. Though i considered this site as one of my best earning site, but my aim is not to earn instead to enjoy in expressing my feeling and questions that bothers in my mind. I am hoping that most of filipinos who are very addicted to some social networking site such as facebook and twitter can come across here in mylot and realize that mylot could be the best social networking site ever.. hello Letran, I also do not understand why some Pinoy can spend most of their time with other social sites,paid rent time at internet cafe for chatting etc,but can not find time to do mylot or join mylot for extra earning while enjoying the net. When i am doing mylot i am also online in Facebook,yahoo,and other sites (for fun and earning) I have few friends in other social sites and i invited them to join mylot,3 o fthem joined but never become active,but keep active in other social sites. (their choice) I guess that depends on individual's interests,they prefer the chatting in other site,than earning extra and still enjoying other site. have a good day always dear bro,and hoping to see you on Friday
