Do any of you play games or have any other source of entertainment at Christmas?? Me and the family I have on my mom's side all get together - we are thinking of getting together on Christmas Day this year instead of Christmas Eve... (Not that that's important lol), but we usually play a "dice game" (someone told me it was called 'White Elephant') and maybe a board game or two. I love playing games..It's so fun. Nothing like getting tipsy on some bubbly with your loved ones and playing Scattegories!

Well, I am going to teach my 10 and 11 year old how to play 500 hundred rummy. If it goes over as well as I expect it to, then we'll be playing this on Christmas day as well as connect four or battle ship. I haven't decided which one I am going to buy yet. My parents use to play "21" which is a dice game all the time when my Dad was still living.....Sounds like you have a fun time planned with your family.

This is actually one of those places that I thought our family was alone. Every year while I was growing up I remember that all of my aunts and uncles and my dad would play poker on Christmas. Then, as my cousins and myself came to age we started playing poker for Christmas as well. Now, we tend to play a card and dice game called Horse Racing. We've always been a family that does a lot of gambling games over the Christmas holiday.

I have little kids, so Christmas day games and entertainment usually means playing with all the stuff the kids got for Christmas. There was a year where it was board games, but now my oldest is way past that. He's been asking for Call of Duty game for his Wii, so I guess that's what I'll be playing Christmas day.

I have a hard time pretending too. Sometimes when I smile I think I am over doing it, and the people that gave me the gift would see me faking it!
That being said/written, I'm still grateful that, that person still had time to think of me, and gave me a gift (even if I think that he or she didn't really think it through).

Maezee-
Last year my husband gave me Pirates Dice for the Yule and we play it when we have spare time. It's a blast! It's a game about bluff, and the better bluff wins. I love it! I can't say I'm very good, but I have a ton of fun. We also got Taboo but without any other adults to play it with it's been sitting sadly in our closet. I'm also a huge chess fan and love to play. I also love backgammon. That's by far one of my favorites and the hubby was kind enough one year to buy me the Lord of the Rings backgammon set.
Namaste-Anora
