Hello jio! Welcome to mylot!
Wow,you have a nice job! Many people I know would want to have a job just like yours especially if you're earning a lot from it! But of course, higher positions means many responsibilities. Can't blame you if you feel unhappy,I guess you just need a vacation,a break where you can unwind. You should reward yourself a time off from your work, maybe a day for a week will do without affecting your work.
I'm a housewife with two kids. My husband works in a cruise ship so he is far from us,sad! I'm trying to earn extra money online since I can't work on field because I don't have a nanny to take good care of my baby, she's turning 3 years old next month. I could say I'm happy with what I do though I am not yet earning from my online sites I am on now.
Happy mylotting!

Hello jio,
My life is happy my friend even in the midst of trials, uncertainties and financial constrain. It is my choice to be happy after all. Real happiness doesn't count on how much money you have, how much high you earned from education in school or out. How much successful in every venture you had faced of. It is the true happiness that you are longing for which can not be bought. It is the time for you to reflect and meditate whats there deep inside which is lacking. It is you who could find that. You cant run, you cant hide, you cant find happiness in any luxury places if deep in your heart is empty and awkward. In other hand there are people who are so pressured at work but receive less but yet so happy and contented on it. Because they are satisfied on what they have and on what they can do.Satisfaction, contentment and fulfillment in everything we do that can make one more happy in any thing they do but everything with prayers.
Be happy co-Mylotter!!
Wish you happiness this coming new year!!!

Hello,
Happiness is totally unrelated to how much successful you are in your profession. However if you love doing something then you'll probably be happy doing it all the time. The annual income doesn't determine how much satisfaction you'll get. Sometimes you feel stressed because you think everything will go awry if you yourself don't take care of it. But if with better management you can significantly reduce that too. For now, I think you should consult a therapist. Take a break. Visit a place far away from home, stay there for a week and do whatever you need to do to enjoy that stay. Do some yoga early morning. Spend more time with positive minded people. Spend some time with young children. Buy interesting books and read them. Have a wife if you already don't have one. Thanks.
God bless you.

So your proof that money doesnt mean happiness, Im the complete opposite of you then, as I earn minimum wage, and recently havent earned much as there has been no work the past 2 weeks, however Im very happy with my life, I know that even though I am on the lowest wage scale that there are people a lot worse off, so I feel very lucky to have what I have, and I have no stress from my job, I dont socialise as much as I would like to but that is because I am saving money to travel. But Im very happy with my life right now.
Why dont you look into a career change if you are that unhappy? Yes money is important, but do you really want to get to the end of your life and look back and think how you spent most of your life unhappy? Im sure with your experience that you should be able to look at other companies, or maybe see if there is something available within your company which has less work-load?

You are not happy because of no time belonging your own. Right? You should not quit your job and may just take a longer holiday by your own.
Life without job is horrible, especially you have to support your family.
what is "happiness" ? How do you define such a word? I don't know. However, it must not be the life with no goals. So,
What goals do you have?

It feels good when someone says he earns well. And has all the facilities one needs. But one thing I want to tell you. One should be happy with his job, almost all the time. If the extra money you are earning is not giving you the happiness then it is of no use. When will you spend money..After Retirement? The time when your legs would have gone week. Or is it that you have made some arrangements that you will take that money with you to heaven...? Please don't take me other wise. One solution is popping out in my mind... You do one thing. On a Sunday (weekly holiday) sit at home alone for a while. Then think how much fixed income you need to have in order to fulfill yours and your family needs. I mean first you should all needful things such as house, vehicle, some property, etc. When you have these items then resign this job and switch to one which would be a good one ( by this I don not mean a better paying job). I mean a job that would keep you happy, your family happy.
One more thing I want to tell you. Do all this stuff on a paper, it would be better if you do it in your diary, personal diary preferably. Along with calculations, jot down all sorts of jobs you would be happy in. Discuss it with your wife son/daughter. Tell them what you feel. You just do "this" and see how things go. (by "this" i mean, do the calculations, etc and discuss with your family)
My Best Wishes are with you always. I am not always mylotting some times i am here if you want to contact me then just put at the rate gmail dot com after my my-lot user name and send me a email.
I would be happy to hear from you.
