I do, sometimes, I can't seem to go to sleep if I cannot finish the entire book. How about you?

No, i try to avoid reading when the lights are off or even with a dim light. IT would give me a headache afterwards causing me to really can't go to sleep. So even if i have problems sleeping, i would just pray until my brain is so exhausted already and finally would go to sleep.

Do you mean to say if the lights are accidentally off because of brownout. well i do continue reading if i am on the climax of the story, i would use any lights just to continue reading, if not yet the climax part of the book i would find my bookmark and just stop for the moment.

I don't read in the dark, but I read often. If the lights need to be dimmed, I use a book light. I do read at night, especially if I can't sleep.

hi frenzylady, for me, I don't read books when the light is off or in dim because it can cause eye problems. And also my eyes can't take to read in dim or in lights off, it cause aching in my eyes and I don't want my eyes to have problems at this early age.

I agree with the other two, reading in the dark is bad for your eyes and can give you a headache. This is why they invented the booklight, a light that clips onto your book. I used my daughters when we lost electricity the year the remnants of hurricane Ike came through, and it was great..:)

I avoid reading in dim light because it is bad for the eyes and gives me a headache. But I know what you mean by how it is hard to put down a good book at times. Right now I am reading Dean Koonz: the darkest evening of the year, and so far it is a very good book.

It depends. f I'm reading textbooks and all then obviously sleep over takes everything. But if I'm reading an interesting novel, then I surely stay up late to finish the book that I wanted to read. bourne

Reading in the dark really is not good for your eyes. I really do enjoy reading, but I make sure that I have light on, in order to read and not weaken my eyesight. It's not really good for you.

reading in a dark is bad to your precious eyes. This may develop eye problems. All you need is the discipline to your self. That book you are reading will not walk away so you can read it for tomorrow again.
