Are you also guilty? using the computer and watching TV at the same time?

Hahaha...I'm actually doing it right now. I'm posting here as well as watching Ghost Adventures on TV. I'm also holding a conversation with my mom too. So, I'm actually doing three things at the same time. I'm responding to this post, listening to what is going on on TV, and talking to my mom about the show. It's quite a challenge but I've been doing this for so long that I'm used to it by now.

Yeh glance at the tv from my computer my mum and dad have stopped me know though as the power bills have gone up and i have found that if you stay on mylot longer then you will make more money where as i use too play travian a browser game which takes ages too play and you can only do a move every so often so thats why i use too do it but no longer so they have affected how good i am on the game.I will still watch my soaps while playing travian though. Hi cyclopz, I'm used to watch tv programs as well as surfing net at the same time. This usually would happen in night time after having dinner only, for I don't have free time to watch tv other than night time. I surf web mostly during tv commercial time or when the scene is really boring. At present I have cut down the tv watching time because I find it's more convenient to watch my favorite videos online. I could fast forward the whole thing which is really monotonous or I could pause it if I don't have time to linger This is not only handy it is frugal in using electricity too Happy posting!

Usually, we don't have the tv and the laptops on at the same time. But this month, because we have Hallmark tv, I have been on mylot and watching tv at the same time. Next month, we won't have Hallmark so, we wont be on the laptops and the tv at the same time. It has nothing to do with being lazy, but....more of I want to watch the Hallmark channel and be on mylot at the same time :)

I devote wholeheartedly to the task at hand.That is either watch T.V. or use the computer.The main reason being the T.V. is in another room and the computer in a different one.Had i the advantage of having both in the same room i would have opted for your way of watching T.V and using the desktop.

Honesly, i don't feel guilty doing that thing bacause i don't care about this.. but actually i know that this wrong and i know that i have to save the energy. just use energy that we really needd.. anyway, talking is easy. but hard to do.. so you'd better change this habit now. so do I..

It is not possible for me to watch television and work on computer or play games or browse at the same times. I also think it is not a good idea because it do consume electricity. I like listening to music while doing browsing or other things in the computer like I do right now. Most times I play songs in the computer while browsing. I have seen some of my friends doing the two things like watching TV and using the computer at the same time. I wonder sometimes how they concentrate on both things at the same time.

Haha well I dont think anyone should really fell guilty even if they do that and I'm sure you didnt literally mean that people feel a guilty feeling you just wondered if they really do this or not. When my ex lived here there was a tv in the same room and he would watch movies and I would get so distracted watching them that I would not get anything done on the computer. I cant see the tv from where it is now while I am on my computer so I never watch movies anymore.

Yes, I am guilty of doing this. I do it a lot. I usually watch something when I'm online. Although not necessarily always the case, it's something that I enjoy doing from time to time.

Yes, I admit it, I am guilty of this too. I most often have my laptop with me while watching television. I did not realize it until my daughter said you are not really watching the show since you are always typing. It made me think I was not spending enough time with my kids. I try to limit my computer use now.

I do it from time to time, because my fiancee sometimes watches tv while I am online. But I try to avoid it.

Well I'm actually doing this all the time, and sometimes I forgot to notice what I was doing until I turn back to my computer LOL. I really feel like I was wasting a lot, times and electricity whenever I do that. I have tried to stopped but I'm still doing it sometimes nowadays. My mum really hates it and she always nag me when she sees me watching TV and using computer at the same time.

I think that is very common for everyone because there are times that people do multi-tasking right and with that they can do more and finish both at the same time which can give them contentment

Heheh, yeah, when I go on my laptop sometimes I'll turn on the TV as well.. It just makes background noise. I am totally guilty of this!

LOL I need to have both the T.V and Computer on all the time, i just cant do without both of them, and about power bills heck, work a little bit harder!
