I prefer using a keypad rather than a touch pad. That's because my hands easily gets wet and so using that kind of thumb surface to a touch screen can get pretty awkward, messy, and ineffective. My friends though prefer a touch pad,but most of them just use whatever pad is on the newest phone that they are crazed about in the moment.
Although, if you can get a phone that is touch and type, as in it is a touch screen but has a keypad, then that kind of phone is probably the most ideal. It has both kinds of pads that you might want or need.
That's just what I think anyways.^_^

My phone has a keypad, however, I have some friends who have those touch-screen phones, and I have played around with there phones on occasion. I have to say that I like the phones with keypads the best. Plus, some of the work I do can me really rough on sensitive touch screens, so phones with keypads are better suited for me. I had a Motorola RAZOR that I really liked, but I had to get a new phone, and the RAZOR was not available anymore, so I was unable to get one. I liked the fact that it was a flip-phone, but I didn't end up getting a flip-phone again, but now I wish I had...

I like the mobile phone with a keypad. I have heard that touch pads break easily if they are dropped. I drop my phone all the time, so I need to have a phone that is more tough. I think the touch pads look neater, but the keypad is more functional.

I prefer the keypad because it's more convenient than the touch pad. Touch pad is really more sensitive and i sometimes get easily annoyed when i hit the wrong key and would cancel it again and again making me send a short message for too long.

I prefer touch pads as it's more convenient but some are too sensitive. However, touch pads may prevent you from accidentally dialing a wrong number.

I prefer to have a keypad mobile phone.
I don't trust the touch screen mobile phone at all.
I just worry the touch screen mobile phone will give me the hard time when my hands are oily, dusty, greasily and so on.
Moreover, the touch screen mobile phone is still new in the market.
I would like to hear the feedback from the market, then only I shall decide to own one.
If I don't catch up the trend, I shall become an antique.

I will always go for the key pad phone because i always find difficult to work with those touch pad phones is sending messages, selecting contacts and scrolling.I would always prefer to have the keypad phones. And other thing is that the touch pad phones are bit costlier than the keypad phones with similar features.

This tough question as it depends on personal preference. I myself prefer QWERTY that's why I got myself a Blackberry. Both are great but touch screen need to be handled with care :)
User friendly, if you have long nails, touch screen going to be kinda tough for you.

well if you're asking for the most user-friendly one then i would say keypad.. of course touch pad phones have some sensitivity issues so if you want to use your phone faster then it would have to be a keypad.

i have both and i find them both convenient. my touch phone is samsung which also has a keypad features whenever i do text messaging. so i basically can still have the keys of a keypad phone on a touch pad. LOL! i find touch pads more convenient. it has a lot more features. but i still miss the keypad mobile phones. hmmmm!

Can I use both? Well it is because I am holding my Samsung b3410 so I have them both.
But then I am more comfortable with the touchpad.

Hi asliah! I have a smartphone so it's a combination of touchpad and keypad. I like the keypad more. Generally, I suggest that you buy a smartphone with a combination of both the keypad and touchpad, having a smartphone is very useful since you can practically do anything from saving your files, schedules and surfing net. Cheers!
