this year for the first time i think ever, ive gotten myself a christmas present. Mostly i figure ive had such a bad time of it lately and everyone else in the family is likely going to be here for many more xmases. so, sorry to say, that im jipping them a little in lue of using some of the extra ive made this month and some of what ive saved to buy me a xmas present. and its something ive been wanting a long time. A printer!! and it scans, etc. my son wanted to get me one but couldnt afford it. got me a little step stool and chair that ive had my eye on. Then a couple weeks ago, he said mom, ive found this great deal online for only 74 dollars, printer scanner, wireless, you can take it anywhere. if i was you, id get it for a xmas present to yourself....lol. so, i figured up my $70. from online earnings, and said yep, order it. today, he set it up for me and im so happy. now i can scan some of my old photos so, have you bought yourself a xmas present lately? or ever?

Honey, I don't wait for Christmas...any time I buy something, anything at all, it's a gift to myself.
I usually get gift cards for my online earnings so I use those to buy my clothes and sometimes things for the house and also DVDs.
It's great to spend my earnings like that and it gives me a feeling of pride. Congratulations to you on getting your printer.
Merry Christmas!!

I always feel that my gifts are not good enough for my grandkids...especially when they receive beautiful, expensive gifts (several each) from their other grandmother who is wealthy. So last year I gave them a card to share between them...$50 bucks worth between the 2 of them.
They did not use it so now it has expired. That tells me for sure that my gifts to them are meaningless so I won't bother any more.

Merry christmas to you to girl. you are so wise. i sent a couple of gift cards to some of my kids i had earned them online and felt that was good enough even tho i feel guilty for spending more on me, but they had their days growing up when i only bought for them and not myself

Unfortunately as a mother of a son, I get myself gifts often. I "reward" myself with a book I want or something I want each year. This year (with the help of Christmas cash gifts included) I am putting extra money in and finally getting myself a kindle. I am a book lover and have never thought I would give up actual books for a kindle, but they are SO convenient. So I am getting one for myself to carry with me to read whenever I have to "wait" for people or appointments etc. An expensive gift for myself, but we all need to do something special just for ourselves sometimes (instead of getting what we "need" as opposed to what we "want")!!

Good for you! You deserve it. Everyone should get theirselves a little something. I bought myself an awesome set of thick fuzzy pajamas. I fell in love with them at the store and thought...I'm going to spoil myself a bit and get those. I can't stop thinking about them now..lol...I'm at work thinking about them.

I have bought myself christmas presents before, wrapped them and put them under the tree. The last year I bought myself something was a foot massager. I bought it, wrapped it, and then on the tag...I put from my two youngest children. That was in 2004. And wouldn't ya know, I still have it and use it whenever I need to soak my feet.

I haven't bought myself a Christmas gift this year, but I typically am the one that ends up buying my own Christmas gift from my husband and from the kids. However, I do tend to treat myself to a little bit of something for myself when I am out doing my Christmas shopping. This year I got myself a couple of DVDs and also so stuff from Bath and Body Works when I was out with my mother on Black Friday trying to tie up my Christmas shopping for this year.

Good for you!!!! I don't think theres anything wrong with buying yourself a Christmas present. We all go thru tough times sometimes, and I think its good to pamper yourself, I have no shame in saying I've bought myself a Christmas present before, and I think I'm going to buy myself one this year. I found this beautiful ring, it has diamonds around it, and it has a place on it to engrave your names, I'm going to get mine and my husbands name put on it. I've wanted it for a long time, my husband won't buy me anything like that, so I'm going to buy it myself..haha.

I always buy a Christmas present for myself every year. I figured I deserved to indulge myself during this time of year too. I usually go out and get myself something that I wouldn't dare to buy otherwise. Over the years I've bought shoes, books, games and other things for myself. Usually things that I know that no one will bother to get for me. But I guess it's no big deal because all of my siblings do the same thing so I don't feel too bad about it.

Oh, I usually do get myself something. I wish I had a printer. That is a great deal! How nice for you. I would love to have a scanner. I have some old pictures I would love to get online so I could send them to people. I usually buy myself some little token of my esteem for myself. Hehehe

yes its not hard to buy something small but i did what i probably shouldnt and used the money ive been saving for a place for months just in case the gal from NY joined us here again but, luckily that has went way back since she left. back to NY. son has realised he cant live with a child in the house thats way out of hand. so i had it to spare.

I do always buy myself a Christmas present whenever I can afford before I buy a gift for someone else LOL. Some of the things that I bought as my Christmas present was my notebook 3 years ago and also a replacement for my broken ipod last year. But I was just very lucky to have a bit of an extra money that time. Seems like I will not be able to get something for myself this year because I really don't have much balance in my bank account and very little extra money too Have a nice day to you.

Yes, I've gotten many Christmas presents that were in the 50 to 100 dollar price range. But one of the ones that stood out the most and can be seen with this post by me is my laptop. Its cost was 1499 dollars and includes HD sound, DVD and CD RW and many other expansions. This laptop has endured the test of time, as I've disused this system a lot. Its been sent in to the warranty service about four times during the first two years for minor body repairs. But, the CPU and internal drive processing controls work as new. Its been about ten years, and this Dell works brand new.

I have gotten myself Christmas presents, yes! I don't really like to get Christmas gifts from other people, and it makes my husband feel better if I pick out something for myself so I still get a gift. Since deals are great this time of year, it's especially nice. For me, as an adult, getting gifts from yourself is the best way to go!
