How can you say that a person is successful?

Hi everyone! I just had this thought in my head as to how do you measure or gauge a person's success in life? Is it just when someone gets rich? Is it when someone gets the dream job he/she wants to do? Is it when he or she never failed a single time in his/her life (which is quite impossible)? I know all people fail or stumble in at least once in their lifetime so how do we know if that person is an ultimate success or is successful in his or her life? Thanks for your ideas and responses.

In my opinion I will look at the person as a successful one when they are able to do what they want with happy feeling, having a happy family, job that they can live with everyday, and also getting at least half or more of the things they wanted in life. Have a nice day

Everyone defines "success" in their own way, so I really can't judge another person's life and say whether or not they are successful or not, you know? Because it's up to personal interpretation. However, my general idea of "success" is having a good, stable, paying career and being financially and otherwise independent from your family. Being educated, having a good 'career', etc, is my idea of success.

Success is not something that can be measured by a universal scale. For instance, what I consider to a success, might be a dismal failure. In fact, even sometimes, the biggest failure in life can be a moderate success as there is a lesson to be learned somewhere. I think that in the end, our success is measured by whether or not we get something out of an experience. It doesn't have to be positive all of the time, although it does really help.

I would say a person is successful when they're happy with their life. If someone is rich, but has a rotten personal life, I don't see how they'd be successful. Happiness is definitely the most important thing for a person to achieve.

Different minds hold diffrent ideas about success,I think if you could make yourself and people who is around you happy, you are successful.Of course, if you can help others become successful, you are really the best and great.
Have a nice day.

Success is a word with different meaning, when it's about different people.
I would say that someone is successful if he reached his goals. May be that would be the universal stuff - good education, good salary, happy family, educated by their parents children.
I can't be correct, because people are different. For me it would be successful to study in university in a time, to buy my own place - house or apartment and the best past is to feel useful.

A person can be said successful in many views, maybe because he/she has a lot of money, prosperity business, or very happy in what he/she is doing. But someone must have ever failed one time, in order to be successful. If a human never fail, it does mean he never try something new, and won't be successful.
Hope my info helps you, have a nice day
