Hello fellow mylotters! News delivered to you personally can either be bad or good. However, what if you will get both the bad and good news, respectively, would you want to hear the bad news first or the good news?

I would definitely want to hear the bad news first , since after hearing the bad news,i know i will at least lessen the blow of the bad news by hearing something positive afterwards. Actually it does depend on what either one is, since if it's very bad news, no amount positive news could make me feel better.

I would always always like to hear the bad news first. I hate the anticipation involved with hearing bad news. I hate hate hate when my friends or family members say "I have bad news" but won't tell me over the phone or over e-mail/text message - and make me wait to see them in person. I always think of worst-case scenario and I hate freaking out like that. I would rather get the bad news over with first - I like to get the worst over with first!

I would want to hear the bad news first. When I hear the good news last, it covers the reality of the bad news...I don't konw, I'm thinking it sugar coats the bad news. If i had the choice, I only want to hear the good news :)

I will go for the bad news first...Bad news surely bad, but it is better to be heard first...Nevertheless, if you are celebrating the good news and then informed of the bad news, surely the good news is as good as bad news...I would rather receive bad news first and then smile all day long rather than the vice versa...

Hi frenzylady! Personally for me, i would like to hear the bad news first then the good new. Because after hearing the bad one, you'll get to hear the good one which make the bad one a little less disappointing. Some people might like hearing pleasing news first before being disappointed.

Hi,
It hardly matters for me as I am to hear both. But surely I would prefer to listen to the good one for I wont be sbletocherish the good news after I have heard the bad one.

I think this happened to me already that my friend told me a good news then said a bad news...for me, having experienced something like this, I would like to hear the bad news first because I would like my spirits to be lifted after hearing the good news, rather than be happy then have your spirits go down...

Me, I aways wanted to hear bad news first, then the good news. It is because always start my day with a peaceful and good mood and spirit. Whenever someone reports or discuss to me news and he/ she wants me to choose which news I want to be heard first, I'll immediately choose bad news first. So when my mood is distracted by the bad news, it will be healed by the good news. It already happened to be my mannerism .
