I was informed by email that there are almost 600 agencies all over the US that are house cleaning companies. They have volunteers that will clean for one day a week for 6 weeks while someone is going through treatment for Cancer.
I think I have the length of time right.
Check it out and send this link on to one you know that needs it.

It would be great if other countries would do something like this! The ones going through treatment for Cancer need all the helping hands they can get.
Do you need this or know of someone that can use this help? I hope you don't but the fact of life is that someone out there does need it.
I hope this helps the ones that need it.

I read about this a while back and looked into it for my sister who was diagnosed with teminal cancer. Sadly, there was nothing available close to her location. My sister passed away the first of October. There are many others like her that don't live near a company that makes this offer. There need to be more companies participating in this. I wonder if there is just not enough publicity to make them aware or if they just prefer not to be involved. Well, God bless the ones that do offer their time and sevices.

Thanks for the welcome. I do like it here, so far. Getting a bit of a slow start but I know it will get easier as I go along.
Thank you for your kind words of condolences. I have lost both parents and my husband through the years but it's really hard losing a sister that has always been there throughout your life. God is good, though. He provides comfort and eases our way for us.
Thanks for the friend request ;)

Hello, and welcome to My Lot. Yes, they go through a lot with cancer and even more with treatment for it. It's nice of these companies to offer this help to them. I wish there were more doing things for them.

hi moondancer oh how wonderful as I am sure they really need this badly as I can well imagine how tired and sick after chemo most
people are. The last thing they need is to worry about a dirty
house. I think that is a wonderful idea. the first bit of
uplifting news I have seen all day.I was in a blue mood and this
is uplifting me so much. to think that cancer victims who have
so much pain to deal with can get some needed help this is
wonderful indeed.

What a wonderful idea. Really great Isn't it amazing what people can think of to raise money for cancer? I wish that we had something like that out here. I know what I am going to do I am going to send this article to our local cancer society and see if they will act on this.I thank you so much. I have a dear GF with ovarian cancer and she has just had her 50th birthday. It just strikes everywhere -almost at random.

Oh dear this is a wonderful idea. I just hope that many others will pick up on your idea and do this too. They and you can also bring the idea to the cleaning services around you.
Thank you for expressing the idea and doing this for those that have cancer!

Hi,
It is good to learn about their service to cancer patients. We at India don't have the said service but we have other free services for cancer patients. There are some NGOs (Non Govt Org I think, not sure about their full form) who make wigs for cancer patients at free of cost for those who cannot afford to buy.
Service can be done in several ways. This one is another different way. Hope to see this kind of service all over the world. Pray and wish the world lives painless.
Happy living

They do that here as well. We also give our hair to Locks Of Love and what this is is people with at least 6 inches of hair to be cut off will get it cut and the hair goes to a wig company that makes wigs for cancer patients and they do get them for free.
My daughter-in-law got a long wig last year as her hair before she lost it was long.
Things like this start from people and companies starting it by talking to companies and seeing if they will help.

This is a wonderful service for people wit cancer. It just takes one person to get something started, to pass the word around and start an idea that others will run with if they are able to.
Who knows if you tell others about this and even call cleaning services telling them what is being done they may join in the cause.
