Do you feel they are needed? I do for sure.. I have been attending online college for almost a year now and love it but sure need a break. This is my last week for classes and I am so glad. I have around five assignments due this week which I have not gotten done yet.

Yes, of course they are. A student works so hard, all those classes and credits! Oh my, when a full load is taking 12 credits, and you're taking at least 15-18 at a time, it is always nice to have a break!

I really do think that a break can certainly be needed. After a semester of university, I do usually feel that I need a break. Time to just relax and not stress about school, and such. And I'm sure that I'm not the only students, ho feels this way. Right now, I'm on a much needed holiday, and I feel that it's well deserved.

Sure they are needed. And they are so helpful. Everyone needs a break. Enjoy it while it lasts...once you get a job..you get 2 weeks per year break and that's it!!!
School age kids, elementary - they are having so many days off, the schools are almost year round without being that way. The kids have to be in school I think it is 180 days a year, and when it used to be (in my day) only the holidays off we'd go day after Labor Day to first week in June. Now, they go second week in August and get out middle week of JUne.... cause they have so many "teacher in service" days and off a day here and there for this and that. It is hard to find day care of one day here and there and it is hard to have a nice summer break to get ready for the next year when you only get 6 weeks. I think to, kids get annoyed with school years , cause it is dragged out for so long. do the 9 months and be done with it!

Oh yes....I do feel like we need a break. I am on break from classes until January the 10th and I am tickled pink. It was becoming a bit grueling..I was in a crazy hard math class that seemed to go on forever..lol...thank goodness I'm headed into Biology when I go back. I do have some assignments due when I walk back through the door but I can kind of relax and do them at my own pace with all the time off I have. Get some rest.

At the college level, i do not feel that the breaks are as necessary. By college you should be preparing for the real world, and most companies do not give multiple weeks at a time off to it's employees, especially those new to the company. I understand the wanting breaks though.

A break is much needed from studies as exerting the brain too much will probably exhaust its power. It is good to know that you have started your online studies. Even in our country the school is now having its long term break and classes will only resume in early January. So yes, I feel a break is good for students.

hi momtrying2make it indeed schoolbreaks for adults are also important, one has to have a break from doing so much of one thing and
a break is just wheat is needed. something other than studying to relax
your mind and keep you refreshed for new classes and new chances. good
luck on your schooling and have fun.

Breaks from the responsibilities and worries of deadlines, and grades. Never a break from learning, the more we learn the more we can handle ourselves, the better our lives will be.
At least, I have noticed that the more I learn, the better MY life is. I also noticed that when I take a break from learning, I tend to slip back a bit to where I was before.
Sincerely and With Appreciation.

Absolutely you need a break. Especially while studying online as you do not have the one on one direct teachings so I am sure you are over working doubly hard then on campus students.
So enjoy your break and recharge so when you get back you will be well rested and ready to get back into the swing of things. Good Luck with your studies.

Hi there.
Any break is always needed. We as human being cannot work 24-7 everyday. we need break for our body (mind and soul) to rest. Too much and we will see ourself dying inside out. We will start to fail at doing work without rest and it is definitely not advisable. School breaks are great for students since they have to study hard. Also giving them a little enjoyment could do no harm if they use it correctly :)
Happy mylotting!
