my friends are asking me to spend new year in a villa.
they collect to anyone who wants to join about $20.
That money is needed to pay the villa and to buy some food. actually i love to come, but i don't have that much. i guess i better stay at home...:(

In these days of inflationary trend,it is important to control our expenditure as far as possible. It is not wise to get carried by emotions and temptations of outer things. The need of the time is how to balance the basic family needs with the limited income,as it is the prime responsibility of a person to take proper care of his/her family life.Thanks.

What we use todo if we wanted to go out and a friend did not have any money to come out, is we all buy the person a drink, that way they can come out. There may also be a time where as they can return us by doing the same.Either that or wait until they are all back and then have the friends around for a drink and a catch up.

There have been times when I didn't hang out with friends because I don't have any money. It's pretty frustrating but it's wise not to spend when there's only a few or nothing to spend. It's also sometimes annoying when everyone has to share money but you can't make the most of it and others may be taking advantage of it more. When going out with friends, I would prefer dutch treat than sharing expenses. You may not know it but you may actually be paying more. It's not always the case though.

No, i won't force myself to join because i know i don't have the money to give in the collection. I will explain to the group however, why i am not joining. And maybe when they know that i don't have money, maybe they will collect additional $1 for each who will join so that i can come..hahah.

I usually stay at home if I have no money. Because I couldn't accept somebody to pay for me, just for me not having money. If somebody invites me to drink something and wants to pay, then I accept, but only in case that I can return the favor. In your case, I would stay at home as well, I wouldn't feel good there knowing that somebody paid instead of me.
I know that the majority of people don't care about who pays for them, but I am the type who doesn't like to owe somebody money.

Yes. Because they will understand. And if one they don't have money too. You can treat them also. Friends are more likely sister or brother.

Hi,
I guess you can explain your problem of lack of money to you close friend or all of your friends. If they are good enough anyone of them can sponsor money for you or all of them might help you.
I think you have the best chance to test your friends too. If they are you real friends who can stand by your side or not irrespective of money. If I am in your situation I would surely test how good friends they are.
If they simply leave you and enjoy themselves, the you can surely quit their friendship.
