Have you ever recieved notifications from mylot?
This morning,I recieved 4 notifications,oh my! My answers and even my discussions yesterday were deleted,I checked the discussion guidelines and I saw my mistake. Should I be alarmed of this notifications? How will it affect me? I just hope I won't be banned from mylot because I really enjoy it here.

I actually also did received some notifications in my email but i tried to disable it because sometimes it seems irritating when it floods my mailbox. I would prefer just checking on my mylot account and see whats new. Don't worry about the notifications, its quite normal receiving it. Just try being careful with your discussions and read the mylot guidelines first just to be sure you don't violate any. Mylot does not just delete discussions for no reason, there should really be something that you violated and i think it is important to know what is it so that you would also be aware of it next time you post here. :)

Hi there. Well, you will not get banned unless you keep doing it again and again. However, the best is to read the FAQ and try not to join such discussion. I myself too can't help myself but joining such but, well it will affect us somehow much later on.
According to the FAQ, the higher ranking of star = higher pay. So, the more you post quality stuff, the better it is for you.

You should not be alarmed per se. Rather, you have to be aware what discussions you have to avoid responding to or those discussions that are suspicious to be in violation of the guidelines. For me, I only receive once in a while, but not always. Although, some discussions that I know it will be deleted, I would no longer respond to it. Or respond for the sake that I will remind them not to do the same. Hence, just respond less.
The only effect when your response get deleted is of course, you will lose the earnings which you supposed to earn on said answer.

yes, I've received a number of them.. It's a bit sad actually, after I carefully though about what to respond; the discussion under it gets deleted. I think there is a bit deduction, although I'm not so sure...It's perfectly normal... Just read the guidelines well, so you won't get any notification if the future.

You bet stanley,it's sad to know your response is deleted but it's alright for me,it's a mistake,we learn from our mistakes. I just have to choose now what discussions I think is not violating the rules of mylot.
Happy mylotting!

Sometimes we do cause a few mistakes here and there and it does happen that some of our posts get deleted.
Basically the notifications are there to alert us of the errors. You will not get banned from the site for the mistakes as the site is not that harsh. However, daily continuance of intentional errors and or spamming could cause a problem.
Do not worry so much about the notifications you received as they are their for us to learn and improve from the site.
Sometimes, so you know, our responses get deleted as members sometimes ask for their discussion to be removed so it is not something you did wrong, as sometimes members have regrets after a posting. So continue myLotting my friend.

Hello bunso!
Don't be bothered by it,it's normal especially for newbies like you. Try not to respond to discussions that are game type or poll type of discussion and discussions that are already been discussed. When I was a newbie,I had so many notifications from mylot, huhu! My discussions posted got deleted too,it was then that I realized of what a poll type of discussion is,lol! Don't post or reply to a discussion that goes like this: what do you prefer, juice or softdrinks? Anything that you have to choose from 2 choices are most likely to be deleted. It's alright to have notifications, you will surely learn from it as to what to post and reply to. Just be choosy now to discussions that you are going to post an answer ok. Read discussion guidelines too bunso for more clarifications.
Happy mylotting bunso!

Hmm...you don't need to be alarmed, don't worry. I've also received quite some notifications recently. Sometimes it's not because the discussion violated the guideline, but it's some response there which has affected the discussion. Well, what we can do is to look at the discussion and determine if it's a violation, that'll will be the best way to prevent any losses

I have but only to say that my answers were deleted because the post was deleted. I think it was because it was one of those posts where it tells you where you can go to make some money. I usually reply to those to say thanks or something and I think that was the only one that was deleted. I don't think they will ban you but I am not really sure about that. I think you will be all right though.

Yes my friend,I've read all the responses and I'm happy to know that I shouldn't be alarmed at all,it's just a warning for me to know what discussions I should reply to and what discussions I should start with. We both have the same interests,I usually reply to topics on making some money but as far as I remember it was not deleted, replies in a poll type discussions are usually what they have deleted.
See you around friend!

That's really random that you would mention this. I actually just got one today as well for something that I didn't realize I did wrong. In the past, I had done a similar post and it was fine but this time around, it got noticed. I'm glad to hear everyone's answers, because I was worried about that too

Don't worry about it too much. Just move on and be careful on how you respond the next time. Make sure you are not spamming. Go through the guidelines again. It is better to be safe than sorry, you know. MyLot is just looking out for the community, making sure no one abuses this site. We benefit by getting paid from our discussions. Thus, myLot has every right to traffic and police the goings on in this site.

You're right hippiemomdiaries! Sometimes it pays to read the guidelines first especially if you feel that the discussion you are going to start is somewhat questionable to you. Sometimes I am being too excited about a topic I want not knowing that I am already out of the guidelines, can't help it,lol!

We have the same experience. Usually, every morning i will open my yahoo mail account i saw for almost 5 of my answers were deleted because the discussions where i responded was deleted too. I was so disappointed every time i saw a notification because it will actually affect my earnings. Every time your response or discussions was deleted then your earnings will go down. So, it is already a lesson for me and for you. You must familiarize the guidelines of the discussions here in mylot.

You're lucky Lance, you never had a discussion removed, mine was a poll type according to the notification email, now I know what a poll type discussion is,lol!
I suggest you add more friends so they will follow your discussions and start a topic which you think would make mylotters participate in it.

Yes...I have received a number of times those mails saying that "the discussion for which I have replied, has been deleted". First I didn't understand that whats going on?? Then I checked one topic in mylot and came to know that if we reply to older posting then there is a less chance of getting deleted of those discussion topic. But whatever topics I have opened for discussion, it was never deleted. So, I will suggest you not to open any discussion for some days. First understand the guidelines then go for it.

I have many deleted responses because the discussion under it got deleted.. It's good to get notifications, at least we know what happened to our discussions and why our number of posts goes down. We may not be banned right away because of the many deleted discussions and responses, but we still have to be careful and read and follow the guidelines here.
