What do you prepare for Christmas eve? Do have particular food or menus during this day? Every Christmas, my mom would not miss out the chocolate cake that we all love. She also puts Chinese ham on the table and few dishes. I love my mom's "chop suey" very much. It is a combination of chopped vegetables. Added to it are quail's egg to give it more and yummy presentation. How about you? Does your family have a traditional food preparation during Christmas?

Our family never had anything special on Christmas Eve, unless that is when we were actually celebrating our Christmas dinner. As our children were younger, we had have to arrange dinners on alternating Christmas day and Christmas Eve. I love the idea of serving a chocolate cake on Christmas Eve! I might even fit that one in this Christmas.

For years i have been fixing lasagna on Christmas eve. I guess it's got to be a tradition. It's easier than fixing turkey & all the trimmings like i do on Thanksgiving & my kids don't really want all that again except for one dil. I just have a salad, garlic bread & always have to have deviled eggs because they all like them especially my grandson. my dseerts vary, have a request for banana pudding so that will be one of them.

hi,
yes, we talked that with my family,
and each of us should have at least one dish contribution,
such as, my mother's contribution is salad and fried chicken,
my brother is spaghetti, and mine is pork barbecue and leche plan.
and even on new year, same procedure of preparing dishes.
