I was suppose to have 8 interviews today but for some reason only one came. One called and said she wasn't coming, and 6 didn't do anything. i am feeling a lot disrespected I think it is because people assume that disabled people have no lives other than waiting for someone to come help them. News flash I do! The woman i met today seems really nice but now one of my regular PCA's has decided that she wants the shift that the woman applied for. Which is frustrating, but i will probably let her keep the shift because she gets screwed over hard enough when anyone gets sick. I kept trying to say that this is a reason that she shouldn't work more than 32 hours but she didn't listen.
What about you have any of you employers had to deal with no show interviewees i don't understand the point of not showing up. Why call and make an appointment and not even show up?

i think anyone will have the same feeling with you in this situation, now it's so difficulty to find a good job,if one has the opportunity ,most of the them will firmly grasp.they can never let down guard.if they have made appoinment with you but hasn't turned up,it's a matter of rejoicing, the person like that would not be qualified for your company.

i will feel disrespected as well if it happened to me... it is hard enough to look for a job nowadays and not to turn up for an interview is a very bad attitude especially without calling or letting you know anything... i am in the process of looking for a new job now and i won't dare not to turn up if i am called for an interview... take care and have a nice day...

It is sad that no more showed up, but yet it is a good thing. They are not responsible people and you would not want to depend on them anyways. At least they did not leave you hanging without help when they should have been there working. A blessing in disguise, in a way.
I have an aide that comes in for my son 1 time a week for 4 hours. It is hard to find people that are responsible and that you can trust. Good luck with what you decide.

It seems times are different today as many employee prospects today pretty much want to dictate when and what time is good for them. I can understand one not showing up but six, seems a bit crazy really. As you are right what is the point if you are not going to show up is right.
I have had this done to me and well nothing but making sure I do not reschedule with them again anytime soon as this sort of gives the impression they will be irresponsible.
