Do you know why false Tears Called "crocodile tears"?

I think it is a false display of emotions to fool people.I have heard that crocodiles sheds tear most of the time but whenever any prey approaches it crocodile has its feast by capturing.In the same way any people sheds tear in front of people just for appearances and they work against you in coward manner this is called crocodile tears

Well, I have heard of "crocodile tears" and I have used that expression myself before when my kids were younger and crying...just pouring on the waterworks. They were obviously hurt, but it wasn't as bad as what they thought it was.
