Is writing an article a talent?

I am also a member of such site, mtrguanlao.:) Writing is a skill, meaning, you have the ability to clearly describe and convey the message you are trying to impart to your readers. It also needs inspiration.:)Most of my articles were written based on my own personal feelings and understanding. They were emotionally triggered by something or someone. So, whenever I am inspired (hurt or happy or motivated) to write, I seize the moment because if I let it slips away, it loses its depth and intensity. You have to feel excited about what you are writing. Lastly, do not force yourself to write when there's nothing you can write.Doing so will only give you a half baked if not short changed output. when yo have the urge to write, don't hurry. Just relax and give the brain time to visualize everything, ideas and words will flow naturally then.:) Goodluck to you.:)

hello mtrguanlao! writing is definitely a talent which can't be said as inborn but rather, it is learned and cultivated. so, if you want to be a writer you must practice writing and you should read too to learn points from other established writers regarding style and the way words are presented in an article or story. you cannot achieve being a writer overnight. You must do it the hard way, by learning everyday and practicing every time you can. there's no easy to way to being a writer so if you want to be one, start right now, get it out of you. Don't worry if at first your article seems so garbled. edit and re-edit and you'll have the kind of article you want all in due time. goodluck in your venture! happy mylotting!

It's normal, my friend. Perhaps you may want to write all your ideas down in point form, then when you're ready to execute, write it all out in one draft and proofread it and if you find no errors, you should be fine and ready to write. I do write articles and reviews in the past but I was able to write it all out. Whenever I have anything in mind, I just type it out.

Article writing is definitely a talent. Even gardening, brick laying, book binding all need talents. But a child isn't born with flamboyance. When your personality go through behavioral conditioning talents are created. They can't be achieved overnight. Everyone needs to work on that. Pick up or download a few good literature and start reading them right away. Choose only those authors who are renowned for their styles. There is really no other solution to this problem.

Writing articles is a skill acquired through practice. Like any skill there are people that are just a natural to it. But even those that are born with talent cannot match up to those that have been trained through experience. Joining Triond was a good choice. It gives you the medium to practice your skill. Just write your articles, don;t fret if you think its not good enough, review it and make changes. Also listen to the comments and criticisms of those reading your article. Many people write wonderful articles and all these people have had failures initially, but they never gave up and with their struggle became good writers. All of us have many talents in us, which we must utilize with will and determination. When you have interest in something you must try by every means to develop your skills and for sure you will be able to write well like others.

Its not just the content and the order but also the choice of words, the way one phrases things etc that make the article. There is no doubt that article writing is not for everyone. Some people know exactly what to write about and have given it thought while others haven't. Don;t get down, maybe its not your thing.

Writing articles certainly is a talent my friend, but may I suggest you not be so hard on yourself and basically start out with small articles so that you can gain some experience. Triond will publish just about anything, so as long as it is grammatically correct. You can right something like a review and or how to on a site then test that out. It takes a lot of practice at writing and re-writing, plus the willingness to accept criticism that is meant to show you what is wrong and how to improve it. Finally, you need to be able to use the language properly. Without that, all the writing practice in the world will get you nowhere.

Yes, writing article is a talent. sometimes i too experience some sort of mental block when i want to write someting.What i usually do is i take my mind off to someting alse. Few hours later when i come back and sit to write and then i can.

Writing is not only a talent, it is a skill that needed to be nurtured and developed over the time and over the years. For some people like me, writing is sometimes (I repeat, sometimes) easy becuase it has become a second nature to a person or a continues habit. It does not mean that there is a guarantee against no blocks or blanks when in a middle of a text. Also, ideas need to be organized and presented properly so that the message is understandable to the audience/reader. Writing is different for many people and setbacks in the duration are normal. The tips that I can give you is write everything and read everything.

Writing an article is really a talent.Writer is like a painter they have a wide and deep understanding and point of view.In your case,why your about to start you can not able to fully express what's in your mind.I've tried that, when I want to write something I can't able to express it.Maybe because, you are not fully concentrated and focus in your doing.Me too, when I think a lot and my memory get loaded and full.It's not easy to write neither a writer, it came from the bottom of your heart when you write and the understanding were so deep and very wide.You can't be just one sided nor fallacy.It should be reality and meaningful.It needs,peace of mind and be focus.

Hi,mtrguanlao. I don't think write articles is a talent, for Shakespeare it maybe. But for most of people, writing article is a way to express your emotion. I don't often write article, but I think if you trade writing as one of hobit, you can do it better. Writing depands on our real life, you can see some movies, reading some news, also while you wait for someone, you can observe what others do, all these are your writing resource. Each famous writer is a good observer. Don't worry, sometimes inspiration comes from one moment. If you grab it, you can be the best writer in the world.

They say a writer is born. The best writer is the best wanderer. Their mind has broad ideas. Their imagination is beyond what we really see. Some might say it can be acquired through studies, researches and practices, but haven't you recognized how is it hard for others to do so, though they have been doing it for months or years? Well, to be able to atleast have the same level with those in-born talented, one must learn their virtues. Find your own inspirations. That will give you the reason why you have to write.

My tips is basically to write what you are interested in & what you know alot about...express it in your own way & put your own views & twist into it & that will make it your own. I hope this helps you to start writing some articles.

I have writer's block frequently. The only solution is to sit down for 45 minutes and write. Even if it comes out awful at least you have exercised your brain. Usually the editing is the difficult part for me.

Of course, writing good articles is indeed a talent because not everyone can do it... To improve your writing skills, you should read a lot of books and articles in magazines or newspapers. Also write all the time to practice your ability- practice makes you better. Good Luck

I guess it is really a talent, because all of us have a lot of ideas about what to write, where and how but not all of us can write it into an article. We easily lose those ideas once we started writing. I'm having exactly the same problem, I'm sorry that I don't have any good tips for you. Thanks for sharing and have a nice day

Normally we have full of ideas in our mind but sometimes the problem of us are action and execution of such ideas. What I mean is might be we are affraid, we are ashame of writing such topic and thinking than nobody like it.. we must avoid that and whatever your ideas go on, after you over come that it is like normal things your doing and happy and smile in your face... see you around..
