Hello Lotters,
I can't believe going out too early before my BED TIME, which is early morning i think.Usually, they are out when we are all asleep and some tend to bother me in my bed!
Well, I don't mind them runnning around since it's a third world country, But Flying in the Ceiling (GRRRR!). Hope i don't get bashed or reported by Human "Insect" rights group (if there was one).
Okay, just before this. This morning I had all day paying two credit card and an electric bill. and when am supposed to have a break, that's the time my brother asked me to help him seeing this mechanic and assist him. by the time, i got home, got so tired that i took a bit nap. After a Bath tonight, finally set to mylot. time is a bit late but better than nothing.
But then, one, two or three Cockroaches started walking and flying into the Ceiling!
I used to be a bit scared with the cockroaches most specially if i don't have the electric tennis racket. but I am pissed and such a bad timing that I had no time to be afraid. so i gathered my guts, took my sleeper/sandal and BAM! BAM! and Double BAM! six down! (that's hitting the cockroach while jumping to reach the ceiling)
I think this is just not their Day...or Night. am buying a anti-roach (insect) Chalk tomorrow.
Let's See who gets the GLORY in this....ROOM..

Hello Saphie, yes they are indeed. Well, getting rid of ALL of them won't be easy as stomping or putting some chalk on the side of the walls down. Thanks.

Hello sweet mary, Hmmm Broom sounds nice but I guess for me am more concern about the dust being transferred to my eyes. But you gave me an idea how to get rid of them from the ceiling since I had to jump just to whack them with the sleeper sandal. Thanks for the response and have a great day.

Hello Lingli78.
Yes, they are indeed disgusting and annoying at the same time. If only they are put to good use instead of being just another pest. Unless they are endangerd species I won't mind putting them in the Aquarium with no water but they have a lot more secondly to ants so I don't think mercy is an option for me here.

Friend, i'm so sorry about your experience with the bugs and i can understand for sure what you mean, because in our flat we don't have cockroaches for now (it's new building, so cockroaches would be too much for building done before one year), but we have so much mosquitos here, that sometimes i don't know which is better - to kill them or to kill myself ... because they never finish. You just kill 2 and you got 10 new around you. Buying products for killing them is so expensive...
Mosquitos here start in the spring and they were around until the snow fall

Hello Suggar,
Well, cockcroach appears to places that are dirty and old. You got lucky that it's a new building but maintaining it in the next few years is a another thing to be concerned about. Mosquitos are slow and if you have a good bulb then you can use the electric tennis racket or some electric light that draws the mosquito bugs.

hi Knight, very funny story, to be serious I think that would do for now but to have a long and lasting solution, you have to go down to the root cause of the problem, you see I've read that for every 1 roach you see, there are at least 30 or 50 more hiding in those crevices YIKES!,that's why they have survived for millions of years, the anti roach chalk is good although I am allergic to them, maybe you could also get a good bug spray , close all doors after you spray and leave. To completely eradicate them you have to cut down the food source like leftovers in the kitchen and the garbage bin. Look for open holes that connect directly to your sewer(usually under the kitchen or bathroom sink) and see to it that it is screened or covered otherwise you'll get an endless supply no matter how many you kill, good luck and keep us updated on your body count

Hello louievill,
I want a long lasting solution, at least just to minimize their numbers. But probably this is something I need to make a long plan of since cleaning is a major part of the solution, then insecticides later on. Too bad we have a lot of junk in the stock room and got wet during the storm. Well, under the kitchen or something in the kitchen closet is another possibility. Am sur eeven if I killed hundreds won't be enough.

Hello Meuji,
They annoy people regardless if there is a human or not. I never eat food once it's touched by cockroaches. Sometimes I do chase them in my room once they dare step into my sleeping mode. Have a great day.

Hi letran coclroaches grow huge here in the US and they fly as you
said. Here in California if you see some huge ones in your home you'had best get the exterminator as you will have billinons in your house, Yuck.
We have always been so lucky or clean or both as we never had roaches in our house.I was once hit in the eye by of those huge flying ones and thank God I had blinked just as he hit or I might have had a worse mess. My eyelid was scratched and I went to an ophthalmologist just to be safe . he used an antibiotic to wash my eye out and put me on antibiotics. He told me that if the roach had hit my eye itself I cou ld have beein in real trouble.he I got a charge out of picturing you and the sandal to
do away with six of them.

Hello Hatley,
Wow, that would be really scary if they did stomp on any part of my body but squashing, squashing and splatting on their bodies would be as great but more disgusting. Yeah, at least there is a exterminator there, wait there is also exterminator here I guess I should give a call someday. It really sucks when it hits your eyes for some reason.

Okay it was you against the cockroaches and you won by the sound of it! I hate those darn things and I’m an animal lover! I usually try to catch bugs and spiders and I put them outside instead of killing them but cockroaches are not only impossible to catch, they are revolting!

I have not seen a cockroach in years, and I am so glad about that, as I think they are the most disgusting of all and would not be able to stand it.
What is the cockroach chalk you are speaking of? I have never heard of that? As I do know someone who has a problem with cockroaches and maybe this may help.

Hello Hardworkinggurl,
wow, that's cool of you. Well, they are indeed but they were a couple of students here in the Philippines that actually thought of getting cockroaches into wires and converting their juices of electricity. I remember a bit that four to give cockroach equals the 1 or 2 volt electricity. I guess if I invented something similar, I would start capturing roaches instead of killing them.

Reminds me of Starship troopers , you are like the great Filipino science fiction hero Juan Rico doing his Job, protecting the world from Alien bugs. Keep on doing your part, trooper, I have a pet arrowana and he loves cockroaches. I really hate it when you are sleeping and they will suddenly crawl on you. I am not disgusted with them but the nuisance and diseases they give makes me wanna get a sandal and be a Starship trooper.
