I love all the pretty wrapping paper this time of year, the colors, the characters, etc...One Christmas my Dad and Mom wrapped all of our Christmas presents in the Sunday comics. Apparently they had saved all their Sunday papers, and the comics, so they could wrap the presents. It was truly a unique idea. What similar stories can you share?

lol...My Dad did that to my Mom one year when he bought her a Mother's ring. He put the ring in a small box, and kept wrapping it in bigger boxes..the biggest box was the size of a tv!! LOL...My Mom will never forget that Christmas present and neither will I!! Thank you for your response :)

I love all the different wrapping papers and bags and bows. We usually try to stock up at the after Christmas discount sales. It's too easy to go overboard though. Everything is so cheap and so pretty. I confess to buying some just because they're pretty and not because I need them.
I remember one year a small local convenience store used thick brown paper bags with the picture of an armmadillo with the Texas Lonestar in the background. I saved these up all year and used them to wrap smaller gifts. Especially to friends and family out of state. It was a lot of fun and was original, to say the least.
I can remember different family members, through the years, that have used the funny papers to wrap gifts. That's always fun.

I bet that looked neat - having your gifts wrapped in comics! Would've been messy on the hands though..lol!
I love choosing wrapping paper each year. It's a really fun purchase to make. We typically have to buy 5 or 6 rolls, so I enjoy choosing different ones. Typically I like to be traditional and stick with papers that have reds and greens in them but sometimes we branch out and go with blue if it has snowflakes or snowmen on it!
I've really fallen in love with Hallmark's Christmas wrapping paper. They sell it at $4.99 for the first roll and the 2nd roll is then .99 cents. With a coupon it makes the 2 rolls almost free. Plus their wrapping paper is incredibly cute AND sturdy! It's very high quality paper. So I have been purchasing that for the past few years.
