How many Christmas cards do you expect on the eve of the happy Christmas day? Though I am a Hindu by religion, I used to get a good number of cards. But now a days, I know that lots of SMS will slip into the inbox of my cell phone, but the number of cards will either be nil or few. Do you think that Christmas cards are relics of yesterday?

No, I used a website where you can create and send greeting cards easily and inexpensively.
PM me for more information about it, it is impressive!

We actually only got two this year. I think that a big part of the reason that the number of cards that we get is so small is because of the fact that most of our interactions these days are through the computer and I can say that I've received tons of Christmas well wishes via the internet and email. It really is a lot cheaper to send electronic cards and if a person wants to keep them they are able to print them up themselves.

i usually get about 10 christmas cards every year... people usually didn't give christmas cards physically anymore... they use e-cards or just sms like what you say... but i still give christmas cards every year even though not many... take care and have a nice day...

Christmas cards become a thing of past when ecards and other forms of greetings are in high demand in this age of technology. I used to recieve a number of CHristmas cards and usually hang them in my room as a display, but some friend send ecards and some just write letters and others, I think they wait for me to send me sms on the the actual day of Christmas.

Namaste! DR. D,
I don't expect Christmas cards from my family or friend becoz i am the one who send Christmas cards to them :). Since technology really arise now a days sending messages can be done through email and sms but the effort and the thoughts of sending them card through snail mail is very thoughtful.
I am still one of the few people who send Cards rather than SMS or email. :)
Good evening!

Remember when I was young, each year we would receive many Chirstmas card, various kinds of beautiful cards,we looked at all like, but with the popularization of mobile phone short message, card usage less, now there are seldom somebody could still in holiday send each other cards, actually some previous things I think it is necessary to keep down, like writing, such as card these things actually better expression of love for each other, compared with no human SMS speaking, these can better express our mind.

I miss receiving Christmas. I think it's been more than 10 years now since I last received one. Maybe it's because, we already have the convenience of emails, instant messages and text messages that Christmas cards are becoming extinct in their own way. But I would definitely love to receive and give a card or two to people who really mean a lot to me.

I still receive a card during Christmas time and it's from my friend abroad. I appreciate it so much because i know she has taken the time to look for it when she bought it and to write here dedication much more mail it.
Nowadays, however SMS is the craze.
What is important is the message it conveys.

I think it's terrible the whole system of sending SMS, people usually send the same message to their mailing list.
I love greeting cards, It is prettier and more personal ..

Yes, Christmas cards are a throw back. I do not send Christmas cards any more I send e-cards they are faster and cheaper. The one good thing you don't have to stand at some card stand and read a bunch of different cards, you can just go online create or pick the card that is right for the person and not worry about if this is the perfect card.

Maybe since most of people prefer gift items and boxes. I have never heard anyone exchanging cards these days especially family and friends on Christmas day. To some who are far geographically, well I guess a card is okay but most of the time it is only e-card greetings.
About SMS or text messages, well that is expected already. I can get a lot of greetings through SMS on Christmas and New Year greetings. Technology plays a vital role in todays generation with regards to celebrating an occasion.

I actually still get a new number. Mostly from older family members that I really cannot see using a computer. Still I would say I see a good dozen or so during any given year. Still they are going out of fashion, as the older generations are slowly going onto the beyond.

I use to get an abundance of beautiful cards which always made me happy and smile to receive them. Now it seems I get a lot less and more sms, and emails which I certainly appreciate however I still would enjoy the Christmas cards as it seems that someone took the time to remember me a bit more.

Hello friend, for me, having a phone number is much more easy, than having full address, where i have to send the Christmas card. Or email, or facebook and others social networks are helping really really good for us, to stay in touch without the old ways.
I think that holidays cards are something good, but for me they became special gesture for special people. I haven't sent cards in whole my life, because i don't have notebook with addresses, but i like the way people can find each other very easy in internet and they can share different thoughts, different believes and truths, without waiting so long, as it will be when we send card with the country posts.
