Bullfights should be prohibited

I sincerely think that Spanish bullfights should be prohibited. That's a show of violence, and also there's a lot of blood and a lot of bulls killed just for "fun". This is animal cruelty, and I can't imagine how any person can enjoy this murder. Bulls, as any other living being, also feels when they are hurt, and bulls are really hurt in that kind of acts. So, tell me what do you think? Have you ever seen a bullfight? Should it be prohibited? Thanks for answering

There are so many traditions which should be abolished for ever, and bullfighting is definitely one of them.I don't understand how people from a civilised country can pay tickets to watch and enjoy these bloody and horrible shows! We live in the age of progress,we talk about the rights of humans anad animals, and wen still do acts of an unbelievable cruelty. So,yes, bullfighting should be prohibited for all eternity!

Yes, I agree with you- I can't believe that it is still going until now- with the PETA and other organizations against animal violence... it should really be banned, I just can't stand watching animals being tortured for fun, there is nothing enjoyable in watching those...

I've only seen it on TV, and it's in no way good to the animal or the human. I've seen in many cases whereby the man is killed by the charging bull when provoked and they see it as fun, which is not funny, as it concerns two lives! I strongly agree. Bullfights have to be stopped and banned. They are being too cruel to the animal.

They're already phohibited in some areas of Spain, fortunately, as a big percentage of Spanish people are against this barbaric custom, and want to get rid of something as cruel as that I'm pretty much against bull fights, as it's one of the most cruel things I have ever seen, and more than a fight looks like a group of bullies trying to torture a bull until it's so weak it can't even move, and then the last bully will give the bull the final blow. Fortunately if it has been prohibited in some areas it will end up being prohibited in all the country one day.

I absolutely think they should be abolished. I have never witnessed one nor do I have any desire to see one. I don't ever want to see any animal die really. I don't see why there is no international pressure to stop these fights unlike the pressure of international communities against the Japanese slaughter of whales.

I have never seen a bullfight. But as shown in T.V., it is very bloody and rude. Many innocents can be harmed if the bull goes out of control. Many people also die by bullfighting. I wish they should stop this. Many bulls are killed and hurt just for entertainment.

I think it is a horrible barbaric sport. I think it should be illegal to do this. I dont think it is done in the united states and a lot of things are different in other countries. I would never go to a bullfight to watch EVER! I have seen glimpses on tv and cried my eyes out. This is something I have been against since I was very little. It turns my stomach. Its one thing to eat animals for food but to just kill them for a sport is wrong and cruel.

I concur, I really see no reason for bull fighting. It is a dangerous sport. I am not sure of the premise behind it or how it even got started. It is definitely not a sport that I would go see.

I have seen it only in television. I never agree to have this type of entertainment. It is really not interesting at all. The intention of this game is meaningless, to make the bull tired and killed. Just because this the culture of Spanish, it is not good for us to comment or criticize much. What I can suggest to those bullfighters to show their braveness by other ways as joining the army, rescue team, fire fighter and so on which are more meaningful and contribution to the society.

I think that you should criticize all that you do not agree with. And yes... those bullfighters better go to the war or something like that.

where's the like button for this statement??? I totally agree, though an ancient practice and cultural part of their communities, modern ethics involving animals should prohibit the practice of bullfighting.
