I like to dress smart, but I always add some small accessories to add my personality to my clothes, so sometimes a bit of jewerlly or a broach. I always wear heels, if Im wearing a skirt then I always wear tights with it, or I will wear dark trousers and a nice top. I do my hair straight or tied up neatly, I wear some make up but not loads, and one person actually pointed out my shoes to me (this was after the interview when I had the job) she said my shoes were clean and shiny (they were new but I didnt tell her that) she said that a lot of people she interviews turn up wearing smart clothes but forget to clean and shine their shoes. So that is one thing that I will always remember, clean your shoes before an interview!

Yes...dressing is very important when it comes for interview. Because I believe first impression is the last. So, I generally wear the dresses which will suit my personality, for the interview. I dress up in elegant way. I do very lite make up just to look tip top. use my speactacle. Thats it. I use elegant perfume on that day so that it just gives a sweet fragrance.

Of course it shall be better to wear formal. I have heard that wearing in white will leave others a good impression at the first sight. So perhaps you shall consider to wear something in white. I don't suggest you wear very colorful dress because you are not having the vacation. Leaving the good impression in the interview is important. Good luck! I love China

hello swiss, I believed that you should be well dressed when going for an interview. Firs impression lasts. And it is always good to give the employer/interviewer a good impression on your personality. When i attended a personality development training, this topic was discussed, how to impressed an interviewer just on how the way you dressed. So,better give them the best impression, dressed can make a lot of talking to your personality, even the colors there is a relevant with impressions. Earth colors gives strong personality, that's how executive people wears. HAPPY HOLIDAY

I will add one thing to the previous suggestions. Maybe you should try to learn if the company have a special dress code. Other thing - use myLot search. For 30 seconds I found this: http://jobsearch.about.com/od/interviewattire/a/interviewdress.htm There is much more on the net.
