what to do :'(
they started falling out all of a sudden :(
its like stressing me out alot. i've been trying to deal with it from a month.
i tried changing my diet, taking vitamin supplements and fish oil.
i drink alot of milk to maintain a good amount of protein in my diet.
though i'm 5'5 and 20 yrs old, i don't exceed eating more than 1500 calories a day, cous since i've lost weight now, i'm scared to get fat again :| like i was 1 or 2 yrs back :|
but i still make sure to take a healthy diet.
i have insomnia. but i still take days off from college and manage to take 8 hours of sleep or more ..

First off, if you have been dieting and not eating suffiently then this is probably why you are losing your hair. Normally you use about 200 or so hairs a day with washing, combing, and just messing and normal wear and tare. And have you been stressed lately or have you had any health issues that might cause hormonal flucuations? I am including a couple of good articles on nutrients needed for good hair growth and just general hair nutrient and info on hair loss. I must implore you here to be sure you are getting good, nutritious food. Not junk. You can get natural fish oil from salmon(Omega 3 and 6)etc. Read up on it and don't worry so much about calories as aposed to nutrients. Aleast for a while. If you like veggies and fruit go for that. You can get lists of these online and see which are more caloric than others. I can't stress enough to be sure you are eating a nutritious diet. Not junk! Here are the links:

That stress will do it to us all the time. I think it's normal though to lose at least 400 strands of hair everyday. Those hairs will grow back as will the length of your hair. I too, need to have my hair trimmed, as I know it will look healthier when...I do.

Dry hair and hair fall in winter is normal. I see that you are making most of your time and leaning heavily on the time nature intended for rest. Give that up. Health is important, rest comes after that. Eat good and nutritious food, keep your self hydrated and have adequate rest. If this problem persists, consult a good doctor.

What we eat is soon reflected in the health of our hair. Like the rest of the body, healthy shining hair depends on a good diet to ensure it is supplied with all the necessary nutrients for sustained growth and health. Poor eating habits and lack of exercise are soon reflected in the state of the hair, even a minor case of ill-health will usually make the hair look limp and lackluster. Yes, an adequate supply of protein in the diet is essential. If you eat a balanced diet with plenty of fresh ingredients you shouldn't need to take any supplementary vitamins to promote healthy hair growth. To promote healthy hair, you have to cut down on tea and coffee, they are powerful stimulants the act on the nervous, respiratory and cardiovascular system, increasing the excretion of water and important nutrients, drink water six to eight glasses a day, herbal teas and unsweetened fruit juice. Limit yourself to an occasional drink. And, if you are married, some contraceptive pills deplete the B-complex vitamins and zinc. If you notice a change in your hair after starting to take the pill, or changing brands, ask your family doctor or nutritionist for advice.
