congress tax cuts

as you know congress passed the tax cuts bill. But they also raise spending. is this not counter productive. I think they should have froze all spending and did the tax cuts. what are your thoughts?

I haven't heard about these particular tax cuts, but I believe it all equals out. I wonder, if congress would "let" the senators make the decision on this bill.
