Getting tired of your cooking....

I love to cook, but sometimes, it just gets tiring and mundane. Do you have those days when you really don't know what to cook, and then you end up cooking something and it turns out bland or a total disaster? This always happens to me after a certain point, and I just have to eat out, or order something and eat in. And, because we moved, there aren't any friends or family members nearby for us to eat at their homes, to get a change of flavor...so it happens more often.

Hello,
i understand what you mean ... Sometimes i'm feeling the same, but the good part is that always keep butter, bread and something in my fridge for sandwiches. That's how we never stay hungry.
It's impossible for you to be in mood for cooking all the time. Sometimes because of laziness, sometimes we just don't have the right mood and ideas and wishes for cooking, so don't take it too serious, just keep things for sandwiches always in your fridge and you will be happy.

Yes. You really can't go wrong with sandwiches. They are my fall back foods usually too. Thanks!

Sure, I get tired of cooking even though I love to spend a lot of my time in the kitchen. That's why we have pizza at least once a week and usually a Friday night. It's cheaper than going out to eat, and its a nice change for the taste buds. Sometimes, the pizza is bought on the hubby's way home from work...or I make it from scratch at home.

Yeah, pizza is the way to go, that is what I had today (since I was having this cooking issue). I ordered Papa Johns, they had a special here. 2 larges with any toppings and a free Cinnapie, for $15.98. Made my boring meal day a bit better!

Well my husband does most of the cooking truth be told but we mix things up all the time and always trying new foods etc to ensure we never have that bland taste or just not in the mood to cook. Can I suggest maybe switching and making something exotic one night to just spice it up and renew the energy? If you need some ideas you can try things from sesame chicken, couscous(Middle Eastern) etc.

I always try and mix it up too. I guess it's like a slump that I go through, where nothing I make appeals to me. That's great that your husband does most of the cooking! :)
