I was really amaze when i found out in the youtube, about the revolution of computers. Imagine myloters, do you believe that computers for the next generation looks like pen? Well, thats true, a kind of pen which produce both monitor and keyboard on any flat surfaces from where we can carry out functions we would normally do in our desktop computers. Now here is the links of these videos: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SD0W0_J_28A
What can you say about this matter myloters?
Is this the end of desktop computers?

I have seen this before..
This cannot end the desktop features and manufacturing of desktop computers..
There are millions who are interested in playing computer Games..
I play high end games in our desktop computer and not only me and there are many..
So, for gaming purpose alone the desktop will continue to come.
Well, there are other options like cost and ease of useness...
Desktops are very affordable at high end , but the modern technologies would be costlier might be double , triple or quadrant times costlier than desktop series..

You are right gohan. The computer Era won't be eliminated bt I think there will be an End to Laptop era. People use Laptop during Travelling, etc. These oens will surely reduce the Weight and make it much more simpler for use too.

i haven't watch the video or read the news before about the evolution of computers because i'm not really into technology... it is amazing if you say that the next generation of the computer will be like a pen... it never cease to amaze me how computer have evolved throughout the time... but i don't think desktop computers will end because companies will still prefer to use them for their employees... take care and have a nice day...

I am amazed with the idea of the computers in a pen shape because it will look more cool when you carry a computer in your shirt pocket like a pen. I have heard about this before and I am glad that you posted a discussion here.
It is like a dream computer for me if it has a high configuration and a good affordable price tag.

This probably might be the beginning of the end of computer technology as we know it. Now and kids are able to build computers from scraps so I don't doubt that there is a way that a monitor and key board can be created by just a pen alone. But like everything that comes out it takes years to perfect. Look at it now, its taken years to turn the usually monitor and keyboard into a revolution where there is more memory, performs better, has internet, etc. There is really no end of technology. Its only a matter of time before sci-fi is reality. But the one thing that makes me laugh is we can make so many break throughs for our entertainment but we can't seem find a cure for health.

well that is amazing.but wherever the technology may go,i plan to stick with my desktop.i will mis desktop if desktop becomes rare and parts becomes non replaceable.i dont need a pen computer.coz i aint gonna write with that.a computer is a computer.a desktop and apalmtop computes with the same accuracy.so i prefer desktop..

Wow, That;s simply Mind blowing. Future Technologies are just so awesome, I really love the Idea is the Pen's functioning as Computer's. It will surely help the people who roam a lot and are completely Dependant on Laptop's.
I don't think that this will give an end to Computer's. It will surely give an end to Laptop's. This Technology is very good but there is one Dis-advantage, anyone can easily rob the pens and in short the whole computer is gone.

Oh my,gadgets are becoming smaller and thinner now. If it will look like a pen,I don't think I would like it since I want a computer with big screen and a big keyboard too. I'm having difficulty now on seeing pictures or even txt messages if it is small,I still prefer the laptop or desktop since it has just enough size for viewing anything even watching a movie or play games.
See you around braimer!

The technology is really cool and shows how far we have pushed the limit. However, this does not mean that the end of desktop is here. 3rd world countries will still be using desktop, much like the scenario of LCD TV vs CRT, 3rd world countries are still into CRT. Thanks for the post.
