Writing blogs is not new to me. I got personal blogs/journals at livejournal. Now, I want to write something informative, yet interesting.
I will go out of town with my mom and my sister. I will write my first travel blog.
Any tips you got that you would like to share?
Please help

It seems you're already familiar with how basic blogging works. Only one thing that I'd like to add to that is some SEO. When you're writing something on web, merely making your articles interesting is never enough. You need to make sure that this 'interesting' articles of yours are read by a significant amount of readers. In order to get good traffic you need to study how to increase organic traffic to your blog. You can read http://www.bukisa.com/articles/383878_keyword-research-guide-for-bukisa-authors which is a tutorial on doing keyword research. This tutorial is for beginners so you may already know a few things written there. But if you follow all the instructions given there, you can get a good amount of traffic to your articles. Try to write rich content. Include interesting but amusing pictures and put your keywords in the alt texts of those images. Promote your blog through different social networking sites and ask your friends to follow your blog and submit comments occasionally.

Buy yourself a notebook, a mini notebook more reasonable.
And everywhere you travel write down some neat POI! (Points Of Interests)
Also take a camera to take pictures and stuff of things.
Basically in that notebook keep yourself updated
and write down things about the places you travel to.

I do bring my PDA phone and a camera.
My sister is an amateur photographer. I'll use her pics for the blog. Of course, images credit goes to her

Well, I do not really write travel blogs. But, what I heard about is that you make articles and reviews about the trip in general. Rate the place where you stayed and other places you went. Hope it helps. Merry Christmas.

For me the most important thing in making a blog is that the viewer understand it.
Do not use many unfamilliar words so that all will enjoy reading it.
Also be sure to correct all your grammars and spellings.
Even though words are simple correcting the grammar will enhance it.
Also please be descriptive when you are making a blog. :)
Let the reader imagined what you are telling :)
Hope i helped you even a bit.
Happy myLotting. :)

i like travelling to different places and experiencing new things like food, customs, and beautiful sites. if i'm gonna search the net for my travels, i expect good, clear pictures of the beautiful sites that i would like to visit, short clear instructions on how to reach that place, the best times to visit, and other unique features or offers of that place/places. a short historical text or background would also be interesting to boost more visitors to that place.
if i find an interesting place to visit, i would love to have good information and clear pictures of it so i'll be prepared and know if it's something i really want to visit.

Always makes sure that your posts are readable and that you know what you are talking about. It may sound stupid, but I can only tell you that readers will know if you really know what you are talking about, overall, make sure is original, we don't need to see more articles or blogs being copy from one place to the other. If you are original your readers will always keep coming back for more.
