Hi everyone.
Okay it's done and over with.
Pressies, eating, spending time with families and whatnot.
I for one is glad it's over.
What will you do if you loose that christmas spirit and be glad that it's over eventually.
Did you ever wish a christmas day over and with?

How about nuts in the muffin. Banana nut muffins, cherry nut muffins. You can create your own holiday when your sister has left. Maybe we can send you chocolate to go with your muffins.

I do not wish it over with no, but I have to say I do not feel the same about Christmas any more, the joy has been taken away from it, as it is so much Stress now and all for one Day
There is hardly any Home baking any more............People do not have the time for it any more
There is no more Joy about coming up to Christmas, as People worry, and rush all the time
It is just not the same any more, to me it seems like it is all about money and expensive presents these Days and that is it

Hi sweetie.
How are you and Gissi.
I know that too well.
I lost my temper the first 5 minutes when i walked into friends front door.
They actually argued who bought the most expensive gifts.
I mean really.
What the hell do you call that?
I would love to taste a real home baked christmas cake.
Those bought one's taste like plastic.
I don't get people lately.
What is more important in life?

Mine is not over yet. I have more family coming in two weeks. Some parts of Christmas are great, some are not. I just do not do the parts I do not like. I had a lot of fun this year. I am glad to be back home today though.

Well, we do celebrate Christmas as God sending his Son as a gift for us. It keeps the rest of the parts of Christmas in perspective.

What?! And here I was thinking Christmas wasn't even long enough :)! There's a long lead up to the day, but after that, everything Christmas-y just stops. I think the whole message escapes most people. Would be nice to see the spirit of joy & giving continue till the next year's Christmas, whether or not one believes in this holiday. (And I don't think decorations should go down until AFTER the Orthodox Christians have celebrated theirs in January.)

Hi saphrina, i'm glad it's over too. I didn't really get into the Christmas spirit at all this year. I was unwell with a throat infection which didn't help and was relieved when the day was over and I could go to bed.

I'm with you on this. Normally I love Christmas, its my favorite holiday. his year has been so different, my worst Christmas ever. I am so thankful its over with. Now onto the New Year, praying thats its better then the last year. I don't think I could repeat another year like this and survive without going insane or strangling someone.

Hi saphy,
For me, Christmas Day is a holiday and I can spend time at home with my kids. I can finish some pending works at home. Since the harsh winter is going on I need some extra time to finish the washing and drying the cloths. I do not celebrate Christmas, so no need to think the way you think dear.
Belated Happy Christmas to you.

It's true that the the Christmas holiday has come to an end. that doesn't mean theat our Chrismas spirit has to come to an end too. If we can can keep some of that with us all through the year, life could be so enriched by it.

Hi Saphrina,
I am not a christian so I am not aware what truly the Spirit of Christmas is But yes, I have my own way of enjoying and festivals - I see life in these small occasions.
This year, I was able to bring smiles on a few faces and that was my celebration -
I spent time with my Parents and they were happy. The last time I visited them for some hours was way back in October end and November start - unfortunately we stay in the same city just 10 kms away.
Then I spent some 40 minutes or so with my orphan friends and distribute Chocolates and also had a cake for them...
I am sad that the occasion passed faster than I had expected and today I wished that I was able to spend some more time enjoying and celebrating life.
Cheers,
theSids.

Yes, i am glad Christmas is over because i was so tired the whole day of 24th preparing foods for the "noche buena". But no matter how tired i was, the happiness in me still lingers because my sister & family from afar, came to our parents' house where we all gathered and enjoyed the reunion. The praises i got from my prepared foods were music to my ears!

Hi sap...
A warm greeting for you and to all:)
Let us remember that the Christmas spirit is giving heart, a wide open heart that thinks of others first. The birth of baby Jesus stands as the most significant event in all history, because it has meant the pouring into a sick world of the healing medicine of love which has transformed all manners of hearts for almost two thousand of years.....So I guess underneath, everyday its always be bulging bundles in this beating Christmas heart.

Hi sweetie.
Nicely stated there.
The thing is most people forgot what christmas is about.
All they think of is what they get.
They don't worry about the real meaning anymore.
That took my spirit away.
People tend to irritate me extremely fast.

this year passes so quickly... it seems that the year had just begun and suddenly christmas is already over and the new year is approaching... it scares me so much... seems like the time flies faster and faster every year without my knowledge... i hope that next year i will be able to make better use of my time to glorify Him... take care and have a nice day...

I'll miss the days leading up to Christmas. I like seeing the decorations. I like the mostly good moods people around here are in. I really don't like the following days when all those decorations have to come down. It's not a hassle putting them up, but it feels like a hassle to bring them back down.

I love Christmas and many of us here in the Philippines look forward to it every year. I guess it's because the majority of us Filipinos are Catholics. We don't celebrate just Christmas day, we celebrate a whole Christmas season. When the "-ber" months hit, we already feel the Christmas season. It "ends" vaguely sometime in January. It's really funny because sometimes, some of us still have a Christmas tree up until February.
During Christmas season, there are so many Chritmas parties all around complete with food and Secret Santas. By Christmas eve/the 24th, we have what is called a Noche Buena wherein there are lots of food prepared and the family eats together.
I love Christmas but I'm feeling a bit down this year. It's because I'm preparing for a licensure exam for my profession. Instead of having loads of fun, I'm studying throughout the season. It's sort of depressing and I'm having some personal issues too. Still, I'm happy this Christmas and looking forward again to it next year.
I guess Christmas is celebrated in different ways in different countries. Because of our country's history, we have the "longest Christmas" in the world.

Hi saphy,
"All human things are subject to decay and when fate summons monarchs must obey". Like wise Christmas and new year come and go and what they do is to make us one more year older. I wonder if at all it is wiser.
We just need an occasion and we are there to make the best of that. Orr else life would become too monotonous to live.
