"hank you for all the things you've taught me..i am very sorry for disappointing you, for not being the best son..i am very blessed to have you as my father..i miss you so much dada..! ='(("
This what my driving instructor's son's last words on his father' wake.
My friend/brother (driving instructor )has 2 kids, a son aged 21 and a daughter aged 12.
It his son who witnessed all his father's sufferings/pain and battle with cancer for 3 months (on it's last stage)
His son also say's that " i even wish and pray that GOD add more time, for me to serve my father and let him feel how much i loved him, that i want to make up for all the shortcomings and how i regretted all the bad things i've done when i don't listen to my dad's advices"
This words really breaks every heart who hears it.
We can feel how much this son suffers the pain of losing his father.
I don't have much to say...
I just want to share this with you guys...
(i am also running out of words )

Jiaho,
These words are really very heart touching and I see one thing - The deep affection.
In our lives, we are often led by emotions and today's competitive living makes us more like machines. Unfortunately in this race to reaching the Number 1 spot, we many times dont look at what we are doing. We rarely expect and realize the basic facts - "The ones whom we hurt (by words or deeds) or even those whom we appreciate may not be the next moment with us". It is time we re-thought and re-did ourselves thanking, loving and caring - the basic purpose of our existence.
I am touched by the words and would sum up in a one-liner - Life is too short for hatred, anger and malice. Make it worthy by spreading love, thanking and caring from heart.
Regards,
theSids

The loss of anyone close is really a big one and there is nothing that can compensate this loss. Our words and actions during the existence of the person would at least be a consolation to us that at least we were good to them - the regret would be less and as you come over the reality, you would feel less burdened.
But if you were harsh and non-loving to the departed, the burden of the fact - that you could do nothing when there was time would be more torturing.
My wife's brother who was against our marriage expired last year. He was a great person. After our marriage, we tried taking steps to pacify the differences between us in the family. Today, I regret that if I had some more time, our differences would have been resolved. The regret would have been much higher if we would have never tried to resolve our differences and my whole life I would have been thinking - I wished I did take that step when he was alive - and this would have been more torturous to me.

Jaiho,
You made me cry again :( everyone wants to be a good child to their parents but when it's too late there comes the realization of shortcomings i am a daughter who done lot of mistakes in life, who broke rules and give pain to my parents during my teenage time but now i let my parents feel how much i love them. Thanking them will not be enough for all the things they've done to me I become who I am now becoz of them May also God give me the chance to return all the things and love that my parents gave to me in due time.
I know how good father and husband Bro. was he gave also the best for his family and it was such painful for them (even to us) that he is gone now, but I am sure he is happy to be the hands of our Creator. :)
Bro. I will never forget you thanks for listening to me during the time of my desperation for treating me like a good friend. :(

i feel so sad when i read your post... it is true that often we don't appreciate the person that we loved when he/she is still around... and only when he/she is gone then we realise our loss and we regret... that's why i always tell myself to serve my parents and be a filial daughter to them when they are still alive so that i won't have any regret when one day they are gone and be with God in Heaven... take care and have a nice day...

hello ling_li,
There are times we took for granted those people who love us the most, maybe because we are thinking of making up things on the next day, but, much to our regret...it's already the last day.
Yes,we should always let our loved ones knows how much we love them each time we had the chance, not to regret for things unsaid and undone.
Thanks for your response and HAPPY NEW YEAR

It's indeed sad if we realize our mistakes when time is already running out. I know that we don't really intend for things to be bad or unfavorable, but somehow we can't help but feel angry or even do our best to stay away from the people we actually love. We can't help but resent our parents when they're not in favor of our decisions or actions - but it doesn't mean that we stopped loving and respecting them.
I guess it's a mind-opener for all of us today. Time won't wait for any man and we must cease the day! Thank you for reminding me this today by posting it here in mylot. Merry Christmas and a Happy and Prosperous New Year!

hello laydee,
Yes,it is true that we always realize the value of someone/anything once we lost it.
He is not actually a bad son...i knew him personal.
There are just times that he doesn't listen or ignore his dad's advices and that make his dad angry.
Those makes him sad to think that he give his dad some headache (which is just common for teenagers to be stubborn at times)
He just missed his dad's...and the thought that he will not be seeing his dad again (alive) makes him regret for all the things undone.
Thanks for your response and HAPPY NEW YEAR

hello Sree,
Thanks for always being here my dear sister.
Last night i visited the wake and saw his son.
He haven't tried to look at his dad's remains...i asks him why..and he says
"maybe on the last day...i still cannot accept that hes's gone...i want to remember his face when he's still alive "
I can feel the bitterness in his words...i can feel how much he loves his dad.
Thanks for your response dear and HAPPY NEW YEAR

no matter how much a father scolds his son he always loves him secretly. but the over love and care in him make him scold and yell at you. even i used to think in the same way as y my dad always scolds me and not my bro. but the truth is i'm more capable of leading a life than my bro. he needs a support to lead his life. so he always scolds me and speaks lovingly to my bro but this doesnt mean he doesnt love me. its only because he cares for me so much and wants me to be perfect in my work so he scolds. seeing wht the son has said here its truly heart touchin. but i feel he must hav realised tht his father loves him more thn anyone a little earlier

hello darshan,
Yes,kids sometimes mistaken the care and love for anger.
And only realize the truth once they went wrong and then, they'll remember the advices their parents given to them, yet they ignored.
I always remember when my mom tells me before that...
"you will realized what i am saying once you will become a mother yourself "
Truly...now i can fully understand how it is to be a mother, because i am not a mother.
In this life,we realized things once we are facing it personally.
We realize the value of one thing once we lost it.
We understand the feeling once we felt it in our hearts.
There are certain things that we always asks why and find the answers once we into that situation.
Thanks for your response and HAPPY NEW YEAR

If we have witnessed the pain and sufferings of our father at this stage for sure we can say almost the same word as his son's did. All the regrets and sins bad things had done for sure can confess. I fell speechless in that scenes. I am not favored in one but really the things are serious if the person involve nearly to die. And need to do something that makes him happy before it's too late.

hello mods,
Words left unsaid and things undone really hurts.
No matter how we tried to make our love ones feel our love..sometimes we feel we haven't done enough once we lost them.
We always regret things...and blame ourselves for nor doing certain things with our loved ones when we still have the time to do so.
Thanks for your response and HAPPY NEW YEAR

hello cssiduys,
Parents love is unconditional.
Kids doesn't realized it sometimes.
Kids sometimes mistaken care and love for anger when parents doesn't allow them to go out or have party with friends.
We cannot measure a parents love,we can not understand parents way of loving their kids unless we become a parent ourselves.
Thanks for your response and HAPPY NEW YEAR

It is really sad that we realize the importance of the people that we love when they are taken away from us. LOVE = TIME. Let's try to give more time to our loved ones.

hello sinawaliboy,
It's really sad when we only realized the importance of someone once we lost them.
Thu how much we regret for things undone and words left unsaid...there is no use at all,the person can not hear of can not feel the love.
So,now that we still have time, let's make the most of it.
Let's show our love ones how much we love and care them.
How important they are in our lives.
Thanks for your response and HAPPY NEW YEAR
