Why you or other wearing contact lens?

There are some who wears them coz they don't wanna wear eye glasses. I have eye glasses and it gets irritating to wear it sometimes, especially when i'm sweaty from walking. I had to take it off and wipe the sweat then put it on again. When you're wearing contact lenses, you don't have to take anything off. Some, however, wear it for their eyes to have a different color, or as you said, "for fashion". Having a different eye color can sometimes affect how you look. It makes others look more on your eyes instead of other parts of your face you don't want them to look. It's a nice fashion statement if you have money coz these contact lenses are quite expensive. If you're gonna buy a pair, it's practical to get your eyes' grade as well to be implemented on the contact lenses. That way, you look good and you'll also be seeing well.

hello friend, When i had my eye check for eyeglass fitting,i really wanted to wear contact lenses cause i feel like looking older when using eyeglass the conventional way. But when the doctor told me the inconvenience of wearing contact lenses,i prefer choosing the eyeglasses. But,most of the people today wears contact lenses for trend of their color choices. The thing is,some looks weird because ,the eye color doesn't fit their looks. Before i used to dislike my eye color,i really envy people having dark black eye colors. But now i appreciate my eye color every time people asks me if i am wearing contact lenses. At least i don't have to buy expensive ones just to have a different eye color (plus the inconvenience of wearing it) HAPPY HOLIDAY

I don't think it is a fashion for me by wearing contact lens. But I need it because I don't have to wear glasses all the time. That is what I think though. Some people might think wearing contact lenses kind of cool, for me, it is a necessity though.

When I was younger I wanted to not have to wear glasses. You have to admit that going out with glasses takes the glamour out of going out. I kind of laugh about it now because I don't care to shine anymore with glamour but just be comfortable. We live in the high desert. The dryness of the heat or really cold weather can make contact lense wearing just awful. Comfort is better.

Hello Visavis, I wear contact lenses for comfort. I most need it out doors. Having my glasses on while partying is such discomfort. Aside from that, when it's cold, the glasses turn hazy and blocks my sight. The worst thing that I am avoiding to happen is when I am crossing the street while it rains. The raindrops would make my vision blurry and wiping is is no use. Having the eyeglasses on, for sharper and more vivid eyesight is preferable for me. When I am at the office, I must like to use my eyeglasses than contact lenses. I may say that contacts are more beneficial for fashion and comfort but in terms of correctional or clear vision, it is not that advisable.

I wear contact lenses because I need them to see. I don't have fashion ones and I think they are cool but unnecessary. I got contact lenses before high school where I joined gymnastics and it would have been difficult to do with glasses. I also like wearing them to the pool because before I was just horribly blind. It was awful. One disadvantage to wearing them is that they can hurt or fall out of your eye or get lost in your eye. I once accidentally put two in and was blind for a while before I could figure it out. Also one disadvantage is you can't see objects that are very close to your face in focus. But that's not too bad. I prefer contact lenses but I also have astigmatism and so my contact lenses move around in my eye and sometimes my vision is blurred. I don't like that.

I am not wearing contact lenses because i do not find it convenient to use.My sister uses contact lenses and she has an anti bacterial solution with her to always clean her lenses.You have to place the lens correctly at the center of the eye.I have not tried wearing contact lenses as i think the dirt and infection in my hand may go into my eyes. Advantages of contact lenses is it will not make people recognize that you are wearing glasses.It is convenient to use once you are used to wearing them.The disadvantages of contact lenses is that dirt or infection might get into the eyes.We have to handle to contact lenses very carefully because if we drop it on the floor it is very difficult to find it as the lens is transparent.

Hi. visavis. I have worn contact lenses in the past. I wear them for fashion. I like to wear the color that matches my clothing or that blends in with my clothes. I have worn hazel, blue, violet and gray contact lenses before. The disadvantages would be that the lenses would need to be cleaned more often. And dust can get in it. Pollution is another factor that contributes to watery and dry eyes.

Years ago i used to have contact lenses for eyesite. I also had eyeglasses. The reason i liked them then is because i never liked glasses. I lived ina humid climate at the time and glasses always slide down your nose because of sweat. Very irratating. Anyways the second time i got contacts anytime i wore them for 4 hours i would end up with migranes. So i didnt wear them much. Im aware of the fashion types, colors and cats eye pupils, etc. I dont understand the fashion because contacts are really a pain in the rear. You have to keep your eyes and contacts moist. Your only suppose to wear them up to 8 hours anyway. Why be stickiing something into your eye when its not necessary. You are more prone to eye infections. Why take the risk? I wont anymore.

well i dont wear glasses or contacts. i dont like the contacts you can get that are like lizards, they are freaky

Today is my second day of wearing contact lens and believe me it's not for fashion at all although it may have that benefit. The main reason why i'm wearing it is because I am allergic to eye glasses. Can you believe it? Well if i wear glasses for a long time, the bridge of my nose develops red rashes that are itchy and looks like small pimples. It doesn't look good on my skin at all. Although i would prefer to wear glasses, i don't have any choice because of my skin allergies. Since this is just my second day of wearing soft contact lenses, i still feel uncomfortable and in fact still a little bit nervous in putting them on and removing them. If one is not careful, contact lens can damage our sight. If you don't clean your extended wear lenses, there is a great risk of developing serious eye diseases. So if one is using this instead of spectacles, you must be patient in cleaning your lens before and after using it all the time and don't forget to remove them before sleeping.

Contact lens are really helpful nowadays. Some contacts are like eyeglasses which help people who have difficulty in seeing. Fashion also comes in when contacts are used. People wear this for fashion and style. I do not wear these contacts. I'm afraid that I might have eye problems when I used it badly. Contacts makes people blind when left on the eye then you slept. Some contacts give eye difficulties to people who do not use it correctly.

well , it is just necessary for me to wear contact lens which is graded for my vision to get better , at first I was wearing eyeglasses but I am allergic to it. I admit wearing contact lens is much hassle that eyeglasses . But it is necessary for me and it adds to my fashion statement.see you around

i never dare to wear contact lens because the feeling of having to put something inside my eyes are just too terrifying for me... i think contact lens are just for fashions and i don't really like it... take care and have a nice day...

Yeah I feel contact lens have been playing an important role role in the way it looks. There is no doubt about it.We have so many colours and shades

hi visavis I think most of it is preference as eyeglasses to me are preferable as I just do not want to stick anything in my eyes even contact lenses and they have to have special care when you take them out at night while all you do with eye glasses is put them in their case at night and forget about them til morning.colored contact lens are fine if they are prescription glasses . for me I will just go on wearing plain old prescription glasses and seeing fairly well.

I love contact lens. I hate glasses. They are uncomfortable, are actually worse for your eyes than contacts. They are easy to break or lose. They are actually more expensive than contacts. Also you can keep them in to see close or far, like with reading up close. Glasses you have to take off to see something close. Also, if your eye sight changes and so you need a different lenses, it would be a lot harder with glasses. With contacts, you can just exchange the unopened ones for new ones, but with glasses, they have to custom make it to fit your frame, so you would pay more and have to wait a week or so for them to get done, and you would probably just have to buy a new frame too. Believe me; it's not just about fashion. Contacts are awesome.

I wear contacts because without them I can't see anything and I like them better than glasses the only problems I have with them is if my sinus are acting up then I can't wear them so then I have to wear my glasses, with my contacts I can't sleep in them, my are good for a month then i change then so I have the disposal ones but other than that I love the contacts.

Cantact lenses are cosmetically good and easy to use. Especially contact lens are very gud for sports personalities. With the glasses we will have a mark on the nose and some times if the spects are bend we will not get a good vision. we can even hide any high prescription with the contact lenses. since the past one year am comfortably wearing contact lenses, am enjoying contact lenses and living a spects free life. My hubby is an Optometrist. He prefers me to wear contacts. Ofcourse, there is also some disadvantages with contacts. contact lenses are expensive to maintain and we should be more Hygenic. But still i prefer contact lenses. Because there are more advantages than disadvantages. Thank you, Jyothirmai.T
