I observed for the past 5 days my eyes easily get irritated whenever I use the computer. Before, I use the computer for 7-8 hours straight and only peeing and drinking water is the interruption. And without rest I'll take shower.
Now, I can't withstand using the computer even for 10 minutes only. My eyes hurt. That's the reason why I didn't open my account on facebook, email, plurk, twitter and mylot for days I think.
I have my eyeglasses already but now, I think my eye grade had increase. My habit of computer then shower really affects my eye.

Your eyes are weak or low in vitamin A. I have been using computer for 8 years and when I was still playing online games, I used to spend 8 to 10 hours a day playing and it was everyday for four years and my eyes are still fine. Although it turns red but that is normal if you don't get enough sleep plus screen radiation. If I were you, wear glasses which has anti radiation. It is affordable

I'm already using eye glasses that has anti radiation. Maybe because I'm always lacking of sleep. I sleep 2-3 hours almost everyday.

That became my lifestyle already. For I am always busy. I have no time to sleep. I'll be lucky to have 2-3 hours for sleeping in a day.

its True buddy and i used to use Computer for nearly 12-15 hours daily. I also used to feel that previously but there are few exercises, you can found it on internet and they can help you with lesser irritation and higher efficiency to work on Computer.
GET WELL SOON!!!

You should get your eyes checked out. I think your habit of having long hours in front of the computer has deteriorated the health of your eyes. Or like you said, maybe you need a correction on your eye grade.
In any case, you should practice eye exercises even when you have to be in the computer.
Goodluck!

As we use computers for long hours continuously for long period it begin to put strains on our eyes and our eye capacity decreases. I have been using computer from last 12 years and a regular and long hour users. So definitely with time some problem occurs. It seem that you have wearing spectacles there must be some problem with your eyesight or glasses are not matching to your views. You should must consult the doctor.

I give break to my eyes after every 30 minutes for a 5 minutes by leaving my computer and make a round in the house or say hi hello to my colleagues in my office or maybe get one galss of water or cup of tea or anything else. But I always give rest to my eyes. Maybe thats why I can able to work more than 8 hours a day.

Yes it can do that. It really does depend on also what types of websites you are on. If you are on a website with a lot of colors and high intense graphics, that is going to assault the eyeballs a lot quicker. Also when the color schemes are going to contrast. Of course, I rarely if ever have eye problems, but when I do, I know its time to step away for a little bit and do something else. Still, it really is different from person to person.

What I did was, lower the contrast of the laptop I'm using. And use eyeglasses. I hope it will work. I really enjoy mylotting so I can't just pass the day without even reading some discussions.
Though I may not post a comment, I really enjoy those comments and discussions made by other mylotter. So, I really have to take care of my eyes.

Yes. I usually experience that. Maybe it is really because of my habit. Thanks.

It's true. Staying for a time that long would definitely irritate your eyes due to radiation exposure. I advise you to rest your eyes at least every 10 minutes of working in front of your computer. Do it by simply closing your eyes and think freely. That helps a lot. Rest your eyes for about 2mins, in every 10mins of your working time. Using eyedrops could also be helpful after exposure to computer. It will refresh your eyes. The cheapest way to relax your eyes after strainful exposure is to use cucumber slice and place it overnight at the top of your eyelids while sleeping. It will not only refresh your eyes but it could also help reducing eyebags. Happy MyLotting!

Thanks for the suggestions. I hope that it would feel better soon. I remember my professor before on psychology that closing one's eye for relaxation and opening it, than look for something that is green in color really soothes the eye. It adds peaceful thoughts too while relaxing the eye.
