We prayed that our family and ourselves would have a peaceful Christmas Day with our family. And it was a great day! We had plenty to eat and a warm home and brother was in a rare mood of being really happy. He has gone through a divorce this past year and is always sad. But Christmas day he was really happy! My husband went to town and picked him up and he spent the day with us. So we got all that we had prayed and desired that day! Did you get what you wanted for Christmas? Did you have a peaceful day with family and friends? What was your day like? Did you want the day to last a long time or was you in a hurry to get it over and done for?

I'm happy for you free_man! To be honest, I haven't really asked what I wanted for Christmas. I was supposed to be in my home country right now but due to unavoidable circumstances, I didn't go. But I did enjoy my Christmas day with my fiance and a few friends who invited us for Christmas day dinner. I think I just counted my blessings rather than fret on something that didn't turn out well. I wasn't expecting any gifts this Christmas. I thought, well, it'll just be a simple one for me but to my surprise I got a few gifts! I still am thankful that God is continuously providing and supporting me. I didn't even notice that the day was already over! I was just taking it one step at a time and I was enjoying it and letting it just amaze me.

Hi Camposkat and welcome to my lot. I am so sorry you didn't get to be at your home country but I am happy that you got to spend it with your fiance and got a few gifts. We made it a policy that we wouldn't give gifts since this day is really about Gods son bieng concieved and giving HIS life to save the lives of those that will believe on HIM. It is a great day to say thank you to God for all HIS Blessings each and every day!

Hi Visavis. As a Christian ourselves we got what we wanted too. We didn't want ice on the road so we could deliver some Christmas baskets and my husband had to go to pick up his brother and then later take him home. I prayed it would be a safe trip for my husband to be on the road. And God granted it. It was a safe and peaceful day. I hope next Christmas brings you the other wish so you can spend Christmas with your family. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Hi there! Lots of things happened in the family before Christmas. I pray for our health and safety at all times. Celebrating Christmas is also about being thankful for all the blessings and we share them together. Some things we have wished for may not have been granted but I believe there's a better reason for it. To sum it all up, we have celebrated christmas in our own happy way. cherrs! :)

I think I got what I wanted for Christmas. A peaceful and merry Christmas is all I wanted. Our family become united and we celebrated Christmas together with some family relatives. Besides we also had bonding time which is very good for the Christmas season. The day was really a good one and I felt that it should have lasted longer. Well, another Christmas will happen next year. Hope good things will happen next year.

I did not expect something really special, except we had our fifth wedding anniversary and had a lunch with my parent in a nice Japanese restaurant. Other than that we were hoping in the beginning this year that my wife would conceive a baby but it turns out that my wife had an issue on her reproductive system that needs to be medicated so she can conceive a baby. Though this year did not get us anything but we are hoping next year we can get what we wanted, a baby.

Hi Free_man...Glad to hear you had a nice Christmas! We had a wonderful Christmas as well. We recently moved from Virginia to Alabama to be close to my husbands parents and sister. His parents are getting up in age and both have some health problems. We decided to move here to help his sister out when needed and spend time with his parents in their golden years. Our daughter, her husband and their two sons came to live with us from Virginia a month or so ago, so we were all able to celebrate Christmas together. Four generations! We couldn't have had a better Christmas! Money was a little tight because of moving here and taking so long to find jobs, but I'm glad it was! It gave us a chance to show the kids that Christmas does not revolve around money and expensive gifts! We wanted the kids to see how blessed they truly were and the true meaning of Christmas! Whether it truly sunk in or not, time will tell.

Hi Joehonda and welcome to my lot. Sounds like you had a great Christmas it is important to share it with family. Four Generations WOW! I can't even spend a few minutes with my family. But my husbands brother was here and we had a great time. It isn't about what one can get with money but how much love we all can share and remembering that the season is for the conception of our LORD and savior! Without Christ going throug all HE went through we all might not even be here! Thank God for family and friends and all HIS Blessings daily. It is kind of you and your husband to move so far to help the family! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Hi Sweetmary. Did you know Mary means a tear? It is good that you got what money can buy. We don't give gifts we spend the Christmas time sharing what God means in our lives. I hope that you get all your wishes and dreams. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Hi Asliah. Always trust in your parents they know what is best for you and will keep you from being hurt in the long run. Happy that you got what you wanted in gifts. Trust in God to guide you through this life. Maybe your parents seen something that wasn't good about this man you was involved with. Maybe your parents know more then they are willing to tell you to spare your feelings. Honor your parents if for nothing else but giving you life. Always respect them and God will bless you for that!

I guess yes is the answer to your question. i did got what i wanted for christmas. some peaceful time at home surrounded by my closes friends and families. even a lot of time to relax, it feels great. I want the day to last a long time, and i hope it will stay like that for years to come. i hope i won't be so into making money that i can't enjoy christmas time at home (and hoping it's over in a hurry). Hurray for christmas! hurray for holiday season!
