I know that many people use ginger in tea making. I came to know that they add it when you have a cold or have a bad throat. DO you think it is really useful in such situation. What is your own experience? Do you like the taste when you add the ginger there?

I haven't added ginger to tea, but I purchase some ginger teas. Mostly I don't even like the taste. There is one Organic Chai Tea that I do like. I actually purchased it because ginger is supposed to be good for the joints. But I don't like the taste enough to drink 4 or 5 cups a day!One is about enough for me! I have been making some ginger cookies though.. they are good! But then I eat about 8 or 10 in a day! And that's not good either!

I don't drink much tea but I drink only two to three cups a day. I love it if it is with some special ingredients in it. I like the taste of the ginger because it makes it special for me.

Hi sanjay, I too like tea with ginger. In fact I add crushed ginger and a pinch of cardamom as well.I love the taste. It is good when you have cold and throat irritation. Even otherwise, many people use ginger in their tea on a daily basis - all the best

I love the taste of ginger and I usually add it to my food just for that extra little kick. When I am sick I always add a bit to my tea as well as it really helps my soar throat. Also it doesn't hurt to make yourself a nice shot of whiskey with the ginger that will definitely help you get over your cold too, lol.

I can't imagine it in tea! Put it in chicken soup instead with some powdered coriander seeds. That will clear the passages nicely!

Hello friend, i don't use ginger for the tea, i use it a lot with the dishes i cook. If it is in dish with potatoes, the taste is great, if it is in beans - taste is great too. I have never tried tea with ginger, because i don't like so much tea, but in one cold day i ordered Chinese tea in one restaurant, it had something white in like flakes from roots and i'll never forget the taste, because it was so bitter that i couldn't drink the tea. In the summer here we have a lot of ginger in our gardens. We dry it for the winter as a spice.

I had tasted this kind of teas, but it doesn't really for me. I also tried wild rose tea. For all the variance of teas, I like green tea mixed with extracted lemon. Have a great day!
