When we went in a medical mission in an island, we came across a part of the sea where the water is not too deep and star fish are so abundant. What i did was asked a friend of mine get it and put it in the barge where we were in. I love starsfishes and what i saw there was of different color and different size,. they are even bigger than my hands and of different colors. It was so nice playing and looking at them. But of course they belong to the sea so after taking pictures i returned them to the sea.

I'm not afraid of a starfish, they don't bite. We brought some home from the beach one day and yes they do smell after they are out of water for a while. You can put them on your hand but they will only stick to you for a second. We have seen them in Hawaii when we went snorkeling.

star fish are pretty. I like them but I am afraid of their fingers. They are really sensitive to sunlight. I observed other people like to eat it. They even cook it with different recipes.

I have seen starfish since I was little. My uncle had a house by the seashore and we went to walk along the beach while the grownups were still resting in bed. In those days it wasn´t dangerous at all and there were only things to mind about the only peril: the ocean. I saw starfish many times then and I poked them with a sick, turned it around and wondered. They have a thick skin and the underside had a different color. We, children, collected them and fought with each other as to who had seen it first. We took it home and forgot about it immediatly. Now, after 50 years, I wonder if a grown up put it back in the sea or just threw it away. Take care. You made me remind of my childhood, a good thing to do on the last day of the year.

not afraid and I've never seen it. but I do know about sea stars are animals that are very much to do with fish. Starfish are invertebrates belonging to phylum Echinodermata, and the class Asteroidea. Starfish are radially symmetrical animals and generally have five or more arms. Starfish do not have a framework that can help the movement. Order them to function as protection. They move by using the water vascular system. They depend on tube feet located on the ventral arm of brittle stars, which serves to assist the movement and eating. Starfish is actually a living thing that is free, but due to the absence of adequate organ motion, sea stars move just follow the flow of sea water.

I went fishing at the beach once with my family and I hooked a starfish. I kept it and I still have it today. It was fun.

I like starfish and i like it when they are in the water. They look so beautiful in the water and i think i took a picture of a starfish and posted it here somewhere in this site. Starfish are so pretty and yes they stink when you dry them up in the sun, just like any other fish.
