I don't think so. I believe technology is a good way of teaching adolescent people (like me). That's because we use a lot of advanced devices, like computers, iPods everyday.
Actually, now, nearly everywhere you can see anyone with a cell phone or an iPhone... and that doesn't mean that everyone who has a device like these has to be stupid... :S

I disagree, on the contrary I think technology is making people, especially the youngsters more smarter. They are more aware now of the things happening around the world, the internet makes information accessible regardless of location or time. This makes people more well informed to take brighter decisions in life. People have their own strengths and traditional education is becoming obsolete which I personally think is a good thing because it has a lot of innate flaws. It also depends on what you would call as stupidity,if a person is not able to add 2 and 3, but can say for example design and animate wonderfully, I wouldn't call him stupid.

I don't know about that.
The schools I went to were more concerned with passing kids through in order to get funding rather than teaching anything. I had a tough time trying to "learn" anything in school.
It wasn't until I got a computer and furthered my education that doors started to open up for me.
So I can't rightly say "technology" makes anyone stupid. If anything, it offers a larger platform for knowledge.
Now, what young people choose to do with their time is another issue entirely.

Hello singup!
I don't think so. Technology just helps people of this generation to accomplish several tasks in less effort, but still accomplished both effectively and efficiently. Effectively because technologies nowadays provide us with accurate details and information that we need. Efficiently because tasks are done in lesser time compared like for example doing researches in the library which needs a lot of effort and time. Well perhaps you are pertaining to technologies that more of an entertainment than knowledgeable? Like for an instance, children nowadays tend to appreciate playing games rather than bury their faces in a book. Stuff like that? Well, at some point yes. Technology could be of great distraction among the youth's schooling life. But still, it varies.

In some ways yes I would say and no to some. Technology is steady moving up the latter to the point where some young people don't take life as serious anymore they think that video games, trashy television shows and music videos is the way in life. Its gotten carried away with all this. For instance you have the internet that can be a helpful learning tool but at the same time you got it as a dangerous place to get into. With technologies today you either have a choice to do dangerous things or to do the right thing basically, in which is a terrible situation. I feel if these things were under control then young people wouldn't be so stupid. When technology was just plain and simple young people kind of had they mind on doing the right things such as going to college after high school, being a teacher, doctor, lawyer and the list goes on etc.

Maybe it helps to some extent, but some are getting stupid and other smarter from tech. But I think isn't the technology fault. We are deciding to use it and how and when to use it, we are ultimately responsible for our actions and the changes in our life styles. And also I see that, generally speaking, the society is becoming more stupid in many ways, from teens leaving schools and getting pregnant, to our general disrespect to law and order to our votes on elections, to name some. We are responsible, not the computers.

You could've given a few details on that but I guess what you're trying to say is that technology is thinking for us instead of letting us do the thinking ourselves , well ... no , I personally think technology is only giving us new possibilities but ofcouse , just like everything else it hurts when we excessively use it ...
