Do the bux click type websites actually pay?

I used to post on mylot quite a long time ago but then I became very busy, I'm surprised to see people still promoting websites where you wait for an advert to close and earn small amounts of money for it, larger of course if you refer people. I signed up to bux.to, about 2 or 3 years ago, I even invested in some kind of package that gave you referrals, I earned reasonably nicely from it on paper. On February 2008, they claim that they paid me $19.00 to an alertpay account, I never received this money though. They've never replied to my queries about it. I requested a payment of $73 in early 2009 and it's been "pending audit" for almost 2 years now. Again, they don't reply to messages. My question is, do any of these services actually pay out people or do they just make money from newbies? Have you physically been paid out from any of them, if so which ones and how long did it take?
