This is what my Darling Son told me this morning hehehehe
My Son asked me to make sure he is up for work and as he went out for a couple of hours last Night I knew it would be hard work lol
He always phones me when I am at home and asks me to please ring him at certain times to make sure he was up
Well I woke up early as it was anyway, so at 7.30am I came through and started calling him, I mean 3 Alarm Clocks where going of and he was still asleep, so I shouted him I then rang his Phone while standing in the Hall way and as usual I said "Are you up Son" He says "Yeah," I said are you sure"
Yes Mum I am sure
So I came through again, and said well it does not look like it
He replied "Mum I forgot you where here" so I told him to never mind all that to get up
He replied, yeah in a minute
If you do not get up, Mike, I will get the Water
I then went to the Bedroom and I heard him shout "Oh Mum come on there is no need for that, not the Water, come on Mum, I will get up" I was in the Bedroom laughing as I guess he must have thought that I had gone in the Kitchen to get the Water, I came back through and started to push him and tell him to get up, he said "Mum, it is so much better when you are on the Phone, I can just switch you of and know I am safe not to get soaked" I said "Well tough, I am here so get the butt out of Bed"
He asked me where Gissi was, I told him that Gissi was in bed asleep, well next thing, he went through to the bedroom and woke poor little Gissi up
Gissi just looked at Mike as he said , "If I am up then you are up, little Man"
Well he got the look and the growl, Mike tried to crawl back on the Settee but Gissi followed him and started jumping all over Mike, which I thought was Funny, Mike said "In a minute Giss, come give Mike 5 more Minutes"
Well, I answered for Gissi, "You have got to the count of 3 and if you are not up, Sunshine, this Water is going over you" He said "Yeah ok Mum, you haven't got any"
Needless to say, my Darling Son got slightly Wet
Mike............"Ok Mum I give up no more please, I can't turn you of when you are here"
He got up well with Water and Gissi jumping all over him, he really had no choice did he?

lol, seems like that boy is not a morning person. I had trouble w/getting my boys out of bed when they were still at home but once they were out on their own it was their responsibilty.

Poor Mike. He kind of did it to himself. He did ask you to make sure he got up. You only did what he personally asked for. hehehehe Gabs, throw some more water on him for me.

One of these days we will figure how to send the water through the phone line. I love reading about your visit with Mike. I bet he will miss you when you go back home.

LOL Your son got what he asked for! LOL 5 more minutes only makes him 5 minutes late! You did good by getting him up any way that you could. I'd have done the same thing myself if I were in your shoes. Now a word of advice for Mike, don't ask for something that you don't want! LOL

oh how funny He thought he had you wrapped around his little
finger but you fooled him lol. I love how he figured if he had
to get up then Gissi had to also. but he forgot how clever and
smart Gissi is lol lol.OH my he got the water treatment again
no wonder he said it is better when you are on the phone. Oh
what fun. With you there and Gissi jumping all over him he
has no choice. I often wonder why guys do that while we women
always jump up when the alarm goes off. My own son was like that. lol lol lol.

Hiya gabs,
What a lot of fun you have getting your Son up for work. Three alarm Clocks going and still in Bed he he.
I have had that one as well. But now I don´t bother him as he gets very grouchy and grumpy now he´s older and has lost that sense of humour.
Before I had a toy soldier clock that made a trumpet blowing racket every morning and he still slept all the way through that too.
However now it´s different and not as much fun as before. Gissi was certainly up and raring to go I can see there.
Nice to have fun and laughter gabs. Luv ya Hugs. Sue.xxx

Hiya gabs,
Fun and laughter make the World go around don´t they? Having a great sense of humour is a must now and if you have that rapport with yours that is smashing it really is.
Are you with them for Easter then? So does Roxy get to stay with Gissi as well?
Wishing you a lovely Weekend then with one and all to keep you happy.xxx

LOL, all sons are the same as mine does the exact same thing, and of course I like you are on target. So we as mommies persist to assure they up and on their scheduled time.
I find it so cute that you use the water trick to perk up those sleepy eyes. Something I too will do from here on in.
Now you know when you are back home you are going to need to send the fire department, to have him sprinkled to awake.. hehehe
He had no choice as once that feeling of water sprinkled him eyes became perked and knew more would be coming had he not gotten up.
So cute that he awoke Gissi as well, shows that Gissi is so part of the family.

That is absolutely hilarious.
When I was younger my dad would turn the radio on and flash the light on. When that didn't work he would start hollering and take my covers away. I had a friend whose mom would keep marbles in the freezer... If you didn't get up on the 3rd try it was like having ice poured on your body. LOL

lol, no he had no chance. lol
This reminds me of a time my dad told me to make sure he was up so he did not miss work. He even said if I had to use water to get him up. Well, that was a good idea, I thought. Most morning I had a time getting him up. I went to the frig and got the water out and told him to get up when he did not I pour the pitcher of water on him. He jumped straight out of bed lol
He asked me what I did that for to which I replied well you told me to use water if I had to...he said yes, but not ice water from the frig. I meant water from the tap! lol
It got him up though.

sons are like that. around us its like they turn into little boys again. sometimes i wonder if they are a little jealous of our little dogs to because my sons like that. if hes up he wants coco up with him, unless hes on his way to work at 4am. but coco loves him so much that when she hears him up, on weekends she heads out the bedroom door to him. sometimes i think shes more his dog. she worships my son.
