Philippines
December 31, 2010 4:22am CST
Few more hours and it is new year already. . This is the most awaited time of the year , I guess, to be looking forward to a new start , new hope and new life. To be given a chance to work on something positive and productive that we have failed to do so the last year. So, guys, why are you still here keeping yourself busy in the keyboards? Aren't you suppose to be preparing for the much awaited celebration? Bond with your family? Anyhoo, HAPPY NEW YEAR TO EVERYBODY.

Hello, Sattered. Please read first paragraph in response #4. We used to do that, too.I meant, had early dinner, sleep and wake up again when the clock strikes 11:45 to prepare to eat again. By the time I was posting this, I was waiting for the dinner to get done and trying to find out why are you still here. Happy new year, dear! :)

I'm waiting to see how my muffins turn out. I'm trying a new recipe - rather silly of me, to make experiments on such an important day - but maybe it's worth it. So I'm just waiting for the first batch to come out, to see if I need to make any adjustment before baking the rest of it. It's been a habit of mine to post on myLot and other forums in the kitchen, while waiting for the food to cook, and I see no reason to break it now, I will surely carry it with me in the next year.

Good morning, NoWayRo. It is already 9:40 a.m of January 1 here in the Philippines. After I postedand managed to respond to some of the responses, there was a need to get out of my hole and go somewhere because the smoke was starting to get heavy.. For the chjildren's sakes we need to look for a cleaner air and stayed in a hotel until the smoke gets clear. We just got home, thus, this late reply. Anyways, how was the muffins? I think you whipped out something delicious, ei.It is always a great idea to add or discover something new at the start of a year. I guess, when it comes to cooking and Mylotting,we are just the same. Happy new year again.:)

Oh, please don't apologize for answering late, there's no time limit here on myLot, as far as I know, we all answer when we can. Besides, it was the New Year's Eve! The muffins were great, thanks for asking. I wasn't very worried, the recipe came from a reputable source; just that I hadn't tried it before.

The New Year will arrive just the same regardless of whether I am still here or not I will be working the evening shift today and when midnight comes that is where I will be. I am fine with that as it seems to bring good luck as the last four years I was working too. There are another 12 hours before it arrives here and today will just be yet another day although I know that tomorrow will have some sort of 'magic' feeling about it and hopefully some of the problems that this year brought with it will have been left behind Happy New Year!

Hi, Ms D. It has been a longtime since I see your avatar.Glad to hear from you again, though.:) Hehehe, yup, new year will come regardless of where we are and how we are. You are working then. Oh, that is a bit sad because everybody's having a good time while you arestill working. But you are not alone. Anyhoo, the good ting about is that while others are spending their money, you and all the guys who are working on that hour are doing otherwise. Let us just take with us the good stuff from 2010 and leave all that are not necessary. Let us think of the nearing year as the dawning of a new life.

I got back from work a while ago, and I just finished planning my work for tomorrow. Now I want to relax in front of the computer for a while before I start getting ready for New Year's Eve. This year I am going to spend New Year's Eve at home, my husband and I haven't invited any friends this year, so we don't have a lot of preparations for tonight. We went shopping yesterday, so today we only have to cook and set the table. I look forward to a nice dinner tonight, and at midnight we are going drink champagne and eat a cake called "kransekage". Happy New Year

Porcospino, my dear, it is so nice to see again before the year ends.[em]happy[em] I presume that you had a wonderful time with hubby ,dear, while welcoming the new year. . ~Isn't it wonderful that you spent it with the person whjo holds your heart the most? If I were in your shoes, I'd not be bothered even if my friends aren't with us to celebrate.. Good planning, dear. You can take things easy and relax more. Next time I'll follow your example. By the way see my comment on response #4 for this late reply. Happy New year again to you and your hubby.:)

Yes I am half way done in getting ready for celebrating with family at a family owned nightclub. I will be eating, drinking and dancing and looking forward to it. However, its only 6pm so I still have a couple of more hours before I have to get out of here. Wishing you and your family a Happy Healthy New Year!

I come on here to have fun and to break my day up.I am stuck indoors all the time other than when i have a appointment to go to.This is a great place to be social as well as a great way in chatting to people that you know in real life as well as people that are online friends. This is more fun than facebook and other sites and there are always things on here that are being discussed, so you never get bored being stuck indoors.

They said what you are doing when the new year arrives is what you will be doing the entire year, so I am here making money.I hope that just means money and not how much, otherwise I am in trouble with the amount I will have in my bank account this year. I just really wanted a quite uneventful evening, so I am here by choice and loving the serenity of my space, which I hope will carry over into the new year as well.

I am still confused what should I do now and what I'm supposed to celebrate the event on this night. but maybe I will not dwell on the keyboard on and I was definitely going to celebrate New Year's Eve this by itself.

Hi there, Cssiduyz. Confused? Why is that so? Oh, never mind. Don't bother to think anything if you don't have a particular plan. Just go out relax and have a great time. Besides, new year is getting a new chance in life. Happy new year.
