Do you run errands on New Years Eve?

I ask because I'm sitting at the dry cleaners, bored out of my mind. We've been open since 7 am, and I've only had one customer between then and now (now it's 8:30.) Usually we seem to have about 20 customers by this time of the morning, not ONE! I'm wondering if this is normal. DO you run errands on New Years Eve? I understand a lot of people have it off of work so I would imagine that it would be super busy. Apparently not. Are you running errands today?

I did! The dinner plans were already set even before new year's eve. And my errands was to get the things to be cooked for dinner. One involved driving 30 minutes away to go to a specialty store. I just woke up early to make sure I had everything bought before everybody woke up.

My husband was off work yesterday, and we ran all kinds of errands most of the day. We didn't go to the mall, but we did try buy, and there were tons of people at the mall shopping. You would think people that were going out on New Years Eve would be picking up their suits or dresses at the dry cleaners on New Years Eve day.

i'm not working at the moment and in the process of looking for another job... but when i was working in the past, i used to work on new year's eve and it is always very busy for me because i worked in a large multi-national retail company... but now that i'm not working anymore, i didn't do anything on new year's eve... just stay at home and go for a dinner gathering with my church friends in my church with my family... take care and have a nice day...

Well, I actually had to work today and it was kind of busy in the mall. Lots of people are still hunting for discounts. But I did have to run a few errands after I got off work today. Had to run to the store to pick up some laundry detergent and some snacks. Other then that, not much going for me today.

Yes, I do run errands on New Year's Eve. I still have a life and things still have to be taken care of. I don't stay out all day, in fact, I leave on early when the day is still not that busy. Planning is the key to getting things done and getting back home in time to plan your celebration for the incoming year. Sometimes we have to do things that we really don't want to do , but because it is the right thing and we are responsible people we do them, no matter how inconveniencing they are to our schedule.

I am so not running any errands today. No. Today is a day of rest and relaxation. Totally sucking up the opportunity as this will be one of the last days to do so until next year. Not to mention everything is crispy and white out. It is freezing and not into driving at all today. Not even to take the dog to the dog park. Today I will stay cozied up inside, with the fire burning, just myself, my dad and my furry dog. I can imagine how bored that you must be with absolutely no customers. Well maezee, you are online and here so that is a good thing. Great way to pass some time. Glad you have your lap top with you. This may be a bit off topic but maybe do some hunting around, in regards to a previous post, in search for answers about office positions without a college degree. I am in Canada and there are opportunities for such here. You have experience with data processing and that is a major plus. All the Best to you and yours for 2011!

I don't really run errands on New Years Eve. I don't actually do much on New Years Eve. I usually just have the habit or relaxing and taking it easy.

I would love to sit at my computer , but I do have some grocery shoping first before I can do more here. Yesterday my family asking me to join them and come away form the computer. places like Wal-mart would be pretty busy today.
