I agree with the above poster you really do not know a person until you actually go out and date. So it does not matter where you meet so as long as we as humans place good judgment.
I have never dated any one from the net but would not single it out as I am a good person so I imagine there are others like me.

I don't really like the idea of online dating because it is so easy to be someone else online. But I have heard allot of success stories with online dating so maybe it works for some people but I am not one of them. I am happy to have meet my fiance through a friend.

Not be gauged online dating does not mean that it is not especially good, and you said you heard a lot of success stories
But imagine you have such a receptive so long relationship or if it happened to one of your relatives a brother, sister and what would be your reaction

You should be really lucky to find a good person over the internet. After reading through lots of stories of cheating, acting as a different person, and problems I see in the show divorce court, I feel like it is a little risky to find or date somebody online. Trust is very important in life and it requires god's great blessing to find a good person onine.

trust can't be sharing over the internet or virtual world
trust comming with real communication and with alot of stories you talk about it i think i will think twice before thinking about dating in the internet especailly free dating website where anyone can write what ever he want

Hi there,
Why not possible? As we keep in touch either via mobile phones or Internet this is very much usual that two people could find each other best suited.
I know even a few marriage that was settled through Internet. And on such thing dating is hundred times more possible.

You have to be careful when dating over the internet. Not everyone will portray themselves as they truly are. you can not always be sure of who or wht you are promising.

In my own point of view, online dating is not that great. A person will not be able to show his/her true self with the use of virtual communication. You, yourslf as well will not be able to peruse if this particular person is showing his/her real identity. Various masks can be worn by someone with the use of online dating. This means may also be used for people with negative intentions. They may buy some time with you online for you to give them your trust. Sooner or later, you may be shocked that a robber or a thief was able to sneak in to your house because you have given a vital personal information to him/her. I believe that dating would be best if the person is referred by someone we know deeply.

I think it's just as safe as meeting someone through a friend or at the bar. You really don't know a person "fully" until you live with them. I would really prefer meeting someone , oh I don't know...at the book store, through work, or at the grocery store.

Online dating is becoming the norm these days it's a pretty clever idea that means you can meet lots of new people in your own time as and when you want. But it depends how you maintained your communication with that person behind the screen. Be clear to your words and phrases that can be interpreted in many different ways,be as clear as you can to avoid any misinterpretation.
