Bad start for 1- 1 - 11, Arrrggghhhhh!

Syoti You are making me smile.:) It wasn't really that bad. :) What could be worse than my situation. On the new years eve, husband and I had confrontation. We watched the fireworks display at the Mall of Asia but we weren't talking. If not for the kids' sakes, we could have never spent that evening together. Until now, we are as cold as ice to each other. Why? because the issues between us haven't resolved yet... He won't tell the truth and wouldn't want to talk about it... See, dear, your situation is a lot better than mine as a start of this year.

My 1-1-11 (it's today) treat me good/smooth/silent.For me ringing of phone is nature especially new year ( even any kinds of occasion it could be happened)all friends and relatives, lovers as well calling each other cause its the only way to get in touch with each other instead being together cause of so many reasons: financial, time and distance so theres really a posibility that phones rings and rings and for you if it makes you exhausting then maybe the only solution is off your phone atleast ringing of phones will be minimized. And why you say its bad omen? What do you mean? Its just a ring of phone dont think its bad omen cause it might disturb you psychologically. For me its not bad omen. Its just nothing.Happy New Year

Okay, my vacuum cleaner broke today, and there is a poltergeist in my house... I know I am off to a bad start this year. Then again, I have an ailing grandmother, a step-father with stage 4 bladder cancer (only 4-5 months left to live), and a step-sister who also has cancer (brain tumor, progressive, could come back at any time). I know that this year is going to be one of those years. Am I looking forward to 2011? Not really. This New Year is going to possibly be hell for me.

Hi syoti! That was really a bad day. But hey, do not put too much issue about that bad day. Just be positive my friend. Do not rely on bad omen. You can make it so good if you think good or rebuke it.

Wow you had work on New Year's day? In America most people don't start work until Monday and if that Monday is a holiday, most offices are closed. I'm sorry about your bad day. Hopefully the rest of 2011 goes well for you. My 1-1-11 was actually pretty boring. Sitting around on the computer talking to friends or and hanging out with my family for a while. Ohhh look like your temper was too high or you have new year log. Anyway mine 2011 started with simple and normal day because I've in the office as early as same my routine. May be because I sleep normal and on schedule even new year night... In the office normal work and chatting with my family and opening mylot... so good start for me... see you around

My first day of the year is good. I was working from 2am to 1130 am. That's a good sign. It might mean I am productive for the rest of 2011. After lunch at home, my brother-in-law requested that we drink his brandy and enjoy the new year. Four of us, me, my sister, my brother-in-law and another guy who is treated as family. My sister got drunk and was talking too much. I was tipsy too, took a bath and went to sleep. I got up around 10pm, still dizzy. I guess you call it hangover. Someone says you can manage it by drinking water with honey, so I did. After dinner over watching Twilight Saga (New Moon) on tv and the next Keanu Reeves' starrer The Day the world stood still? (well, the title sounds like that) I am still the only person alive in this house at almost 5am, 2nd of January. I still feel I want to puke. I think I had one too many. And I don't want what I am feeling. Guess I need to sleep again. I'm not making any sense now. Laughs.

Sounds like you have just had a bad day and hopefully, it is not a sign of things to come. I hope that your day gets better and that you find happiness and peace in the new year - and no ringing phones like that.HAHA!!

Well, all the 1's for me is going OK but I am not inundated with work today. I am feeling rather lazy and would love to just go and crash out, but I have decided that I will stay with my computer and continue responded to discussions here on myLot and then get down to sorting out the files on my hard drive. We went to the beach, I got up this morning and went for a walk, 6500 steps later and I was tired. I spent some time listening to my iPod and getting out and enjoying the morning before it was gone. The beach was nice, I boogie boarded with the kids and then relaxed for a minute.

Hello Syoti, One thing you should know first is that there is no such thing as Bad luck, only bad coincidence. bad things happen, of course, you had to have fun and get more rest and get late first day in the morning of the new year.. besides, that's just a technical probably that they can dealt with.don't worry so much, remember we all have to be optimistic this new year.Have a Nice day.

Hi syoti: This sounds like a bad day. At leas try to make things look as good as possible with you attitude. Sometimes we can't control these things. Everybody would love to sleep for our because we have just started a New Year, thanks God I can but some other times we have to make a few sacrifices. Just smile and try to be happy this will create the atmosphere you need to continue with our work. ALVARO

My day is not too bad today really. I have been very busy this morning, i am just catching up on here whilst also having something to eat and then i will get back to my job. I did want to relax today but that never really seems to happen for me. I hope i have a less stressful year this year than i did last year.

LOL,that work is very exhausting and stressful, answer calls and make calls, its no bad omen, maybe that company is a ???????LOL,,, but good luck syoti,,,,

haha =D I got a good start for the very first day of the year. I did make some extra money and i believe it's a good start for me. I wish i can keep it going and make it a good financial year for me. I'm setting a new goal for this year as i'm planning to go into more investments and i want to earn at least 10K by this year.. lol =D

the day was lazy, everybody still asleep, but i have so many works to do. in new year, the works are worst cause everybody had party so i have to clean the mess. but i hope this year will be brighter and more prosperous to me even i have to do many work

Well syoti, you need not worry for all these created some sort of fun if you look into the flip side. Mine or to put it more precisely went off without any trouble. We went for a driving took something in the restaurants and were back. Intentionally avoided visiting friends to day. You know why....

It's getting better all the time. So far so good, one minor mishap, but not enough to ruin my day. Awww...relaxing, staying warm and mylotting.

The first day of January went well for me, nothing exciting happened though, but I was able to relax and enjoy some feel good movies with the kiddos. Plus, I filed 11 job applications online haha! I hope someone will consider me:) Well nothing beats the feel of the first day-of-the year for me, it was always refreshing and full of hope. Your job is one of the things to look forward this year so don't stress, just enjoy.

Not good either, I'm also late for the first day of work and my boss transferred to me for review all the problematic accounts and changed my partner whom I do not like and seldom talked to, but still I'm still hoping that everything is going to be just fine and something good is going to happen, after all, it's just the start of the year there's still more to come. Better things I hope and pray.
