to almost no snow on the ground. It looked more like the first day of spring rather than the first day of January. The sun was out, but when you stepped outside you were in for a big surprise! Woo! With the windchill, the cold went through to the bones. Today, we have a slight dusting of snow, but the sun is out and we're at a warm 19 degrees! Here's a look of what we woke up to yesterday morning..

Hello Buggles, here we didn't have snow for Christmas, for New Year too. We had may be 3 days with snow and not more, it was before 20th December. In 2010 in the start of the spring, we had a lot of snow around, it was more than 1 meter high and some of the little villages were out of electricity. I think it will be the same this year too, on our way to reach the spring, we will have a lot of snow. Last New Year, when we had to meet 2010 it was with temperatures which you can use for beach There is something wrong with that weather.

Yes, this weather is definitely out of the norm for this time of year. Usually the January thaw doesn't happen until after the middle of the month. Last year was much of the same. lol...yes, something definitely wrong with the weather, but I like the lack of snow (means I don't have to shovel it..lol)

I don't like so much snow, so many accidents with people, who i know, only from the ice, which was here around 3-4 days in the end of the last year, so i don't want snow again for sure.

We had about three inches of snow the day after Christmas and by the first of January...it was 60 degrees....amazing the way the weather is flip flopping. It was nice to see snow on Christmas though. I can't even remember the last time I saw that. We were pretty cold this morning but the sun has come out and wasrmed it up a tad. Nowhere near the 19 that you are experiencing..lol..hoping to stay a bit above that.

Wow! 60 degrees, that's pretty warm...I would love to take a vacation to Tn, this time of year. Now we are getting all kinds of snow...I don't mind if it snows, I just don't want to shovel it! :) Thank you for participating.

I've experienced the same thing, yesterday morning. I woke up and there was hardly any snow on the ground. It was kind of sad to see. It's kind of nice to have warm weather, especially since I hate cold weather. I'm not a huge winter fan, but at the same time, it feels odd not to have snow on the ground in January.

Since I live in Texas, I know how you feel. Two days before Christmas, I walked outside and it was 85 degrees with no wind. The sun is always out here and the only time it gets cold is during January and February when the sun is less direct and some clouds cover it up. Where do you live that the weather is like that?

We woke up to the same thing here in the high desert. It gets so cold at nights but the morning was sunny, yet cold. I was hoping to get some kind of snow during the kids vacation.

The kids finally were able to make a snowman, because the snow was much more "packy" with the rain. lol...but...the snowman melted by the next day. Thank you for answering.

I would love a little warmth here. I live in London and we are sick of snow now! Dont get me wrong its great when it first settles for the first fewe days/ week but then it gets slushie, dark and unpleasent followed by ICE. Its all gone here thanks to the rain and I can't wait for the sun to burst through the horrid clouds of winter.
