When you create a topic on mylot do you create on that is discussion material..meaning more then just one answer and after someone answers do you go back and respond so as to keep up the discussion? I think in discussion you not only should you be able to comment on a topic but on other peoples answers too if you can do so..what do you think?

I do create discussions, but not as often as I just go in and discuss what other people have started, I guess they will earn more money than me, by creating discussions and me only answering discussions.

Hi Joy, nice to see you too, where have you been so long. I hate you had such a time with one company blocking your work. Maybe it will be better, and on mylot, I've tried as hard as anyone to learn how to do this, but it seems I'm not learning very fast. Anyway, please keep in touch, even if it is on mylot or side tick. Have a good day.

I think my sandwich got over-cooked. Regarding your question, yeah i keep up with my discussions. Although sometimes i find it hard to keep up as i don't recieve e-mail notifications from myLot on some of my discussions. I'd have to check back on them regularly to see if someone replied just to make sure. I don't rely fully on myLot's e-mail notification system.

Hmm.. what does your sandwhich being overcooked have to do with this discussion... or is it you were cooking and reading posts at the same time..? Do you have your notifications set to email you of new posts?

The only notifications i left on are those of users who post discussions with real content and the responses i get to my created discussions. Of course my "new referral" notification is also turned on.

I don't always go back and post on an answer to the topic that I posted, but generally I try to. Sometimes there isn't any additional comment I can think of...so I might just thank them for participating on the topic. I have to agree with you though, keep the discussion going if at all possible. :)

THe reason I ask is some people start a discussion and after its put out "poof" they are no wheres to be found.. I always see discussions as a way of sharing and a way to mull over problems and important issues;) Joy

Hi little franciscan: Yes I do this because for me, it's such a great honour to find someone that feels interested on the subjects that I write and take a time to explain their point of vies so I think they deserve an answer because they have also paid attention to me. ALVARO

It is nice to add to a discussion, or try to get more from a poster. I also comment on other peoples comments sometimes. But I hate the "Thank you for your comment" replies because politeness doesn't make the discussion better.

I can't stand the quick replies such aa "thank you for your comment" either. It adds to a discussion when others jump in and reply to others who reply Moreover you are able to earn one more point at when you reply to at least one other poster on the forum. Sometimes it appears that discussion are more like a test. questions are asked and people simply answer and no more think anything of it.. even if the person comes back with a question about the answer thy gave.

Absolutely as this is why it is called discussions. I am one who gets up to seven pages full of responses and I love it. See I do not start many so it is quite easy for me to keep up with them. Not only is it courteous to respond back, but somehow can't understand how people offline actually function sometimes. See who asks on here: Help so and so is getting abused and I need to help them, can you offer some advice. Okay nice, I love to help in what ever way I can with my humble wisdom then the initial poster does not come back. Who does this offline? Who speaks with a group of people then walks away to allow them to speak amongst themselves. I always keep in mind that when I start a discussion I make it so that the quality allows room for back and forth. I especially love "chain ganging" & barging as my so experienced myLotter call it. It is where I will post this and someone comes into the comment box and many others. Not only is it fun it actually feels like a discussion. You may want to try this and see exactly what I mean with this. There are times that I can be in two discussions that lasts for a couple hours. So much fun, and actually it is the truth behind myLot whereas this has been done since the original of time.
