Do you eat solely your powdered drink instead of mixing it into water?

Here in Philippines we have this well known choco drink. I've been drinking this choco drinks since I
was a kid. I consider myself already an adult. But some part of me says I am still a kid.
Every time I had a chance to drink this choco drink. I don't disolve it into water. Instead I eat as is.
The choco drink I am talking about is Milo/Ovaltine.
Do you do this too? Even in powdered milk I do it too. hehehe.

syoti hi I love ovaltine but as an American I do not know Milo is it a powdered drink mix of some sort too? I never just ate the powder and let me suggest caution as those powders at times when you just eat them can give you problems of the powder choking you so I would be really careful why not just make it the way its supposed to be made instead pf eating the powder, if you must do that at least make a paste out of it so you will not be in danger of choking and breathing that powder in to your lungs. if it gets in your lungs it will make you ill.

Yes I do it too, those two brands are our favorite, yummy. You know years ago Ovaltine came up with a brand called Ovaltinies, it was actually Ovaltine that you can eat like candies in tablet forms, perhaps they also noticed the phenomenon that consumers do eat the product but I think the product is gone now.

Never. I always mix the powdered stuff with water or whatever it should be mixed with. I don't like it on it's own.

When i was still a kid, i also used to eat that type of powdered drinks as it is. In addition, i also like the Sustagen powdered milk flavored Strawberry to be eaten as it is.
However, i have already outgrown those already, of course. Now, i like drinking coffee , be it hot or cold. LOL

I think I did that when I was a kid. In the USA we had Ovaltine and then we got Nestle quick. I'm not a chocolate fan so I never did really get into the chocolate milk thing. I don't think its supposed to be mixed with water because its designed to go in milk but hey if you like it that way then go for it.

hi syoti,
ovaltine was a choco drink already 50 years ago. like you, i enjoyed it while i was younger (hehehehe!) putting a spoonful in my palm and licking it until the fingers stick together. it was a real treat as a child.
have you tried putting it on rice? hmmmmm it tastes wonderful!
milo is i guess, more popular nowadays. but you can never say no to ovaltine. they are both very good tasting.
have a nice day.

I have experienced this as a kid. I eat Milo and not actually drink it. I like it's taste when its not dissolved in water. I even put it in my sandwich. But now as an adult i don't do it anymore. I thin im having tonsillitis after eating it, so i don't do it anymore. My younger bothers are doing it and are loving it too..

Hi syoti20, other than taking beverage prepared from powders like Milo, instant milk or full cream milk or Holick. I sometimes enjoy to take spoonful of such delicious powder plainly when feeling bored sitting in front of the pc for quite a long time
It's delicious as well to eat bread with the thick layer of milo or instant milk powder spreading in between the two slices of bread. To me they seem like tasty sandwiches to during tea time This usually happens when desserts like chocolate, cheese, etc are out of stock.
Happy posting

I know this stuff. I prefer to mix it with water or milk as instructed by the manufacturer. Though, my kids love licking it off and let it melt in their mouth.

Sometimes I pour the powder over ice cream or on top of whipped cream on top of a cup of chocolate. My favorite dessert drink is chocolate milk with a scoop of ice cream in it and hot fudge sauce and a tablespoon of expresso over that and then some whipped cream. I don't drink coffee, but I like it as a flavoring for chocolate. Mmmmm.

Now a days, I only have coffee or tea. But this actually reminds me of my childhood days. In india, we used to get different hot drinks powder. And I solely used to eat them as I really loved them. Even I loved to eat those milk powder too. But I remember I used to get good scold from my mother for this. He he.
