I really notice that Friendster is now becoming dethroned by facebook, i can still remember few years back how almost all of classmates have friendster account and they really spend a lot of time with it. Internet cafe's were crowded and almost all of them are using friendster, but since facebook became popular i notice less and less people talk about friendster anymore. I also have friendster but haven't open my account for almost a year now since facebook became popular. How about you? do you have a friendster account, do you still use it?

i never had a friendster account surely it cna be considered the grandfather of facebook or other social networks...in reality i think friendster loose many users and popularity over the years probably because a big brands never acquired it and so compete with microsoft, facebook,or other giants is difficult..

perhaps you are right, friendster is a good site though maybe your opinion is correct that facebook is a bigger site that got massive promotions.

I never tried to use Friendster again since they had a very bad functions at all. Its not a good site to about many things. They are low in technology and more of the people now a days are using more on Facebook. So it is also a good site to post a display on my Herbalife business too. But its a good site that we've been through for many years before facebook. Good day! God bless! Happy New Year!!

Yes djmarion,I also have a friendster account.Unfortunately, since facebook was out,I barely open it. Most of my friends in friendster are already in facebook too. One good thing about facebook is it has a chat unlike in friendster. I guess that's the big differense of the two social sites. See you around!

I still have a friendster account; and have done so for three years now: http://friendster.com/carlhalling But I confess I've not been there for a while; in fact, thanks for reminding me, I must go back there and update a few things. On the other hand, I'm pretty well at Face Book every day.

I do have a friendster account but have not been very active on it. I also do have a facebook but I just check it from time to time. I am not very much on social networking sites. But I do agree that they are fun. Anyway, going back to friendster, it seems that the site has lost its touch when facebook became popular.

Hello, Djmarion. Yes, I do have friendster account as well as facebook. But from the very beginning I'm more a frequent visitor of FB rather than Friendster. I find the applications of former more friendly and easy to deal with. I totally ignored Friendster when my all 27 friends there, was also a member of FB. What is the use of having too many social networking accounts when all your contacts in those sites are the same people? So, I decided to forget about Friendster and plod along with FB.LOL

Yes I have a friendster account, but just like you I rarely open it. Facebook and friendster are both top social networking site worldwide. They said that friendster is threading the path taken by the facebook. I visited my friendster account just to check if there is a message other than that I dont have any activity there.

No! Haha. But when I was in elementary til 2nd year HS, I am addicted to it. There are so many popular taglines when you are a friendster user: "Hey, please give me a comment!" or "May I have testi" haha. I remember those days! But when someone told me that Facebook is more popular than Friendster, I signed up on FB. I find it addictive because they have games! Haha. :)

I have never had a friendster account and I actually don't know much about it at all. I do have a facebook account, but I have only had it for a few years. I'm kind of getting bored by it though. I'm starting to get sick of it and myspace.

I have a Friendster account too, I wasn't really that active in it though. I haven't opened it in quite a long time but I still receive alerts from it., so some people still use it. It's also changing and improving, but i don't think it can even beat Facebook anymore..

Same thing, maybe almost a year already since i opened my friendster.hehe. It was indeed dethrone by facebook as of Philippine is concerned, and I remember those days about cafe and how addict people were on friendster. Facebook has way better features and security compare to friendster that is why people choose to use the facebook. I abandoned my friendster due to spammers/fake accounts who tries to message and add me. Have a great day.

I don't open my friendster account anymore ever since I became active in facebook. I t has already been dethroned by facebook now. Unlike before when friendster just recently started, friendster is one of the most popular social networking sites. but now, it suddenly beginning to lose it's popularity.

I do have a friendster account. when i was in elementary and high school, friendster is very popular. Almost all people, a student, a parent or even our grandparents have accounts there. It was fun, making comments, posting pictures videos testimonials etc. But when facebook was created, I can say that nowadays friendster is really dethroned by facebook. Facebook became more popular. Some people already find a more exciting and having more fun using facebook that's why some already deleted their accounts in friendster. GAMES made the FB more popular than friendster. :) I still have my friendster account but i rarely open it today.

I also have a Friendster account. It was my first social network. I was an addict! I used to be the cliched person going to internet cafes just to check who has given me testimonials. But when Facebook started, I immediately found it more interesting and more fun to use. Yes at that time I thought Facebook was a copycat, just another social network site, but as I used it more, I found out how original it was and how much more different it is from Friendster. At present, I think the last time I checked my Friendster account was like 3 years ago. I've forgotten my password already and have no intention of retrieving it. It's still cool though, to browse through my friendster profile and read all the testimonials my friends wrote for me. So maybe later I'll check =)
