See, your not understanding what they are warning you about...
You just assume they are being rude...
You can loose points, $$, by not following rules...
Even banned from the site...
You will find out when it happens and then maybe you will be open to suggestions on how to avoid...

Some people just don't read the guidelines or "rules" about posting, so others take it upon themselves to point out topics, etc., that "aren't allowed". I don't care if someone does this in a polite manner and I know it's not directed at me, but I do find it annoying (well, that's a stretch-it takes a lot to annoy me) when someone is rude or self-righteous about pointing out flaws, whether it be here or anywhere else. Unless you are blantantly breaking laws, such as inciting violence or posting hate literature (propaganda), these comments most likely don't even apply to you. I'd just ignore it.

Yes, it could scare off new people. I have seen some of these posts, where the poster is pasting in part of the guidelines. First, it is not up to him, and he shouldn't be doing that. Secondly, myLot does moniter what is posted and they will contact you if they have a problem. I try to help new people on myLot. I agree I don't like anyone being arrogant in how they post, especially not to new members that are still trying to get a grip on things.

You know what, Amen! I'm fed up by the people saying "You've broken a rule. You should be banned". It's not fair. Maybe people didn't know what to do the first time. And also, the administartors should contact us and say we did something wrong or made a rude comment.

exactly my point. we dont need other members telling us what to do. if there is a problem..the site will let us know. i was just wondering because people that reply to my discussions get this sometimes..because of their answer...I think we are all here to have fun and make money right? quit being the party pooper and telling everyone what they can and cant say.

If it were not for some people warning or telling me, I would not have realised I was posting against the guidelines. I do not believe people are being mean or rude by doing so. But trying to help you learn how to respond in a better manner so that we are not losing points or money, or working our way into trouble with the moderators. I believe many are just trying to help the moderators, and trying to steer the board into a better direction. I know some people at times come across rude or mean not trying to, and at other times, they are breaking rules or guidlines not meaning to as they are coming off of unmoderated boards suddenly to a moderated one.
So that is my answer to this. I been learning alot through those types of posts, and it saved me from repeating mistakes.
Take care,

i have seen it quite a bit since i joined. people saying...that isnt in the guidelines...im thinking...did you write the guidelines?? do you work for mylot? is it your job to tell us what we can and cant say? Im sure if it isnt suppose to be said it would get deleted.
